If you prioritize wireless convenience and features like active noise cancelling for noisy environments or calls, the Audio Technica ATH-TWX7 would serve you well, especially with their low latency mode for gaming and TV. They also have an app with equalizer settings to customize your sound experience. However, if you're on a budget and prefer wired earbuds with a reputation for detailed sound and excellent noise isolation, the Etymotic ER2SE is a great choice, although they may be less comfortable and lack some modern features like a microphone for calls and wireless connectivity. How the Audio Technica ATH-TWX7 and the Etymotic ER2SE compare to other earbuds and headphones
"There’s plenty to like about the ATH-TWX7. A robust set of features brings a lot of convenience to your day. But a few of those tools could still use some fine-tuning and the lack of automatic pausing in 2024 is a head scratcher. Still, the audio is mostly good, and transparency mode is better than most. Add in the solid call quality and the in-app voice test and the ATH-TWX7 are a worthy consideration, especially at this price. Too bad it falls short of being a more complete package some of the competition offers for a slightly larger investment."
"Etymotic isn’t playing around: it takes audio seriously and has mastered the art of the noise-isolation earphone. Sure, the fit of the earbuds looks silly but it’s a signature Etymotic thing and could be considered charming by some. If you’re looking for best-in-class audio for a realistic price, the ER2SE is it."
