If you prioritize wireless convenience and features like active noise cancelling for travel and exercise, plus need excellent call quality, the Audio Technica ATH-TWX7 with LDAC codec support, low latency mode for gaming, and a satisfactory battery life would be suitable. On the other hand, if you prefer a reliable wired connection, don't mind the lack of a microphone, and want headphones for mainly music listening in a stationary setting, the Audio Technica M50x might be a better choice, although they lack active noise cancelling and aren't as portable or suitable for exercise. How the Audio Technica ATH-TWX7 and the Audio Technica M50x compare to other earbuds and headphones
"There’s plenty to like about the ATH-TWX7. A robust set of features brings a lot of convenience to your day. But a few of those tools could still use some fine-tuning and the lack of automatic pausing in 2024 is a head scratcher. Still, the audio is mostly good, and transparency mode is better than most. Add in the solid call quality and the in-app voice test and the ATH-TWX7 are a worthy consideration, especially at this price. Too bad it falls short of being a more complete package some of the competition offers for a slightly larger investment."
"Good sound is timeless. It doesn’t matter that a number of years have passed since the ATH-M50x came out because it still works well. Since this wired headset doesn’t rely on batteries or Bluetooth technology, it’s bound to outlast its wireless counterparts. The no-nonsense performance, fit, and comfort of the Audio-Technica ATH-M50x make it worth picking up."
