For superior sound quality, robust build, and a more immersive experience with movies or music production, the Audio Technica ATH M40X is preferred, but it lacks portability, wireless convenience, and a microphone for calls. On the other hand, the Raycon The Everyday Earbuds offer better comfort, are sweatproof for exercise, have built-in controls, and a longer battery life, making them ideal for calls, general use, and travel, although they won't match the sound immersion and detailed audio of the ATH M40X. "If you were to pick one headset to fill all of your needs, the ATH-M40x is a great buy with its sub-$100 price tag, pleasant sound quality, and accessories. Whether you need to use it for live monitoring, a midnight editing session, or to underscore a campus walk, the Audio-Technica ATH-M40x is a great companion."

Wired

Parker Hall | January 2023
"Sure, every influencer owns these buds. They’re still pretty good. In this price range, getting anything that seals well in your ears for good soundstage, doesn’t sound like trash, and won’t immediately break is a huge win. The Everyday Buds tick all of those boxes for me, and I intend to use them at least nearly every day; I go to the gym on alternating evenings. Damn it, YouTube. You've cost me good money again."
