If you prioritize affordability, the Audio Technica ATH M20X is the more budget-friendly choice and often significantly less expensive. It's an over-ear design with a focus on studio tracking and mixing, which can also offer a more immersive listening experience for music. However, they are less portable and have no wireless capabilities. On the other hand, the Marshall Major IV, while more costly, provides the convenience of wireless listening, with a battery life suitable for long sessions. Its on-ear form factor is more compact, making it easier to transport. The Marshall also includes a built-in microphone, which is advantageous if you need to take calls or interact online. In summary, if you're looking for value and primarily use them for critical listening, go with Audio Technica. If portability, wireless freedom, and the added microphone are important, consider the Marshall Major IV despite the higher price. Give Feedback

How the Audio Technica ATH M20X and the Marshall Major IV compare to other earbuds and headphones
"Audio-Technica positively defies what you can expect for around $50. Ultimately, Audio-Technica did not design the ATH-M20x to go on the subway with you. It’s for the budget-conscious, do-it-yourself producer, podcaster, or studio that needs to buy tracking cans in bulk. If you don’t need the most deluxe, comfortable headphones, maybe you’ll like the ATH-M20x for its spartan functionality. The headphones are aimed at giving you the minimum requirements without it feeling like a sacrifice."
"The Marshall Major IV shares quite a bit in common with its predecessor, but a key upgrade appears to be softer ear cushions. They make upgrading worth it. As a set of basic wired or wireless headphones the Major IV ticks most boxes by remaining easy to use, and fairly comfortable (at least, as on-ear headphones go)."
