The Audio Technica ATH M20X are often significantly less expensive, making them a good budget choice with a closed, over-ear design that helps in sound isolation. On the other hand, if you're willing to pay more for the convenience of wireless listening, a built-in microphone for calls, and potentially better bass response, the Beats Solo 3 might be a better fit for you. Keep in mind that the Solo 3's, with their wireless feature, would be more versatile for on-the-go use compared to the wired M20X. Give Feedback

Soundguys

Jasper Lastoria | September 2023
"Audio-Technica positively defies what you can expect for around $50. Ultimately, Audio-Technica did not design the ATH-M20x to go on the subway with you. It’s for the budget-conscious, do-it-yourself producer, podcaster, or studio that needs to buy tracking cans in bulk. If you don’t need the most deluxe, comfortable headphones, maybe you’ll like the ATH-M20x for its spartan functionality. The headphones are aimed at giving you the minimum requirements without it feeling like a sacrifice."

"The Beats Solo3 Wireless is an old set of headphones but still works reliably well with iPhones, due to W1 chip integration and AAC support. The Beats Solo3 Wireless holds up well today with just a few features showing its age."
