If you prioritize comfort, better sound quality for music and calls, and are less concerned about price, the Apple Airpods Max would suit you, but consider their weight if using them for extended periods. The Razer Hammerhead True Wireless earbuds are more affordable and offer excellent gaming performance due to lower latency, as well as being lightweight and sweatproof, making them better for exercise. Both offer similar overall sound quality and have active noise cancelling, but the Airpods Max provide a more immersive experience with better noise isolation, at the expense of being less portable and not sweatproof which might limit their use in certain activities. "Objectively, the AirPods Max is a spectacular pair of headphones. I appreciate the smart features like auto-pause and the transparency mode are super practical. It also sounds great, is well-built, and has solid battery life."

The Verge

Chris Welch | August 2019
"This latest set is more “Pro” than not in both looks and features: they offer active noise cancellation, a low-latency gaming mode, and have switched to a in-ear design with silicone tips. Just like many of the company’s laptops and gaming accessories, the 2021 Hammerhead True Wireless include Razer’s full Chroma RGB system. It makes for what Razer calls “the ultimate wireless earbud flex.”"
