The HP 15" Laptop is a budget-friendly option with a larger 15.6-inch screen, meant for general use, and is heavier making it less portable compared to the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s. The ThinkBook, on the other hand, comes at a higher price point but offers more powerful performance, suitable for more intensive tasks like engineering, 3D rendering, or machine learning. It has a higher resolution screen with a touch option and better build quality, plus double the storage capacity and RAM compared to the HP laptop. The ThinkBook also offers a better battery life and improved portability with a lighter 13.3-inch design. Give Feedback

The Lenovo ThinkBook 13s has a better screen than the HP 15" Laptop for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the HP's fair screen may be due to lower resolution or brightness, which affect clarity and visibility, while the Lenovo ThinkBook's good quality likely stems from a higher resolution and better brightness, offering sharp and vibrant visuals. In engineering and design, color accuracy is key; the Lenovo's good rating suggests it covers a wider color gamut, providing precision for detail-oriented work, whereas the HP's fair rating indicates less color accuracy. When it comes to gaming and 3D applications, both laptops' poor rating likely results from lower refresh rates, which can lead to less fluid motion, and while resolution and panel type are secondary concerns, they're still crucial for an immersive experience.

Although they have very similar scores, PerfectRec considers Lenovo ThinkBook 13s to be only fair for gaming and AI, while the HP 15" Laptop is poor.
Considering their graphical processing capabilities, which significantly affect performance in gaming and 3D applications, both the HP 15" Laptop and Lenovo ThinkBook 13s are equipped with integrated graphics that may handle some gaming and 3D tasks decently but will not provide the high performance of a dedicated GPU. Moreover, both have standard 60Hz screen refresh rates which are fair for casual gaming but fall short for the smoother visuals preferred in fast-paced games; the Lenovo has a higher resolution and screen quality, offering crisper visuals suitable for detailed 3D work, while the HP has a larger screen size which may benefit overall gaming immersion.

How the HP 15" Laptop and the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s compare to other laptops
"Chances are high that the HP 15 is one of the first laptops to pop up when you search for an inexpensive notebook. Indeed, its price tag is very tempting for many, and of course, this is the reason for its popularity. However, the HP 15" suffers from poor performance due to low power consumption. On the bright side, one of the good things about it is the port selection. On the inside, this includes two SODIMM slots for memory, an M.2 PCIe x4 slot for storage, and a SATA drive bay. However, the TN panel, and mediocre input devices are not ideal."
"The best thing about the ThinkBook 13S is that it’s a good deal. Business buyers looking for ThinkPad-level performance and software without ThinkPad pricing will probably find the ThinkBook a solid option. While nothing about it is really spectacular, it’s certainly unusual to see the ThinkBook’s screen resolution at a sub-$1,000 price, and its performance will be more than adequate for most office tasks. The generous port selection, 16:10 aspect ratio, physical webcam shutter, and clear audio are certainly icing on the cake."
