The HP 15" Laptop is significantly more affordable than the MSI Raider GE78, making it suitable for general use with moderate performance needs. It is lighter and thus more portable, with longer battery life for everyday tasks. The MSI Raider GE78, on the other hand, offers top-tier performance with advanced features like a powerful Intel i9 processor and RTX graphics, ideal for intensive gaming, 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering applications. However, it is much heavier and has a shorter battery life, which makes it less portable and more expensive. Give Feedback

The MSI Raider GE78 is excellent for engineering and design, while the HP 15" Laptop is only fair.
The MSI Raider GE78 is better suited for engineering and design tasks due to its superior main processor, much larger amount of RAM, and high-end GPU, which together provide exceptional performance needed for demanding applications, whereas the HP 15" Laptop, with its basic CPU, less RAM, and integrated graphics, offers only fair performance for such tasks. Moreover, the MSI has a larger, higher-resolution screen with better color accuracy, which is crucial for design work, but its size and weight impact its portability negatively compared to the more portable HP 15" Laptop.

The MSI Raider GE78 has a better screen than the HP 15" Laptop for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The HP 15" Laptop offers sufficient resolution and brightness for everyday tasks but may lack full color range for professional design work and the fast refresh rate needed for smooth 3D rendering and gaming. The MSI Raider GE78's higher resolution and color gamuts make it better for engineering and design applications requiring color accuracy and detail. However, despite its strengths, the MSI's lower refresh rate may not suit the fastest-paced gaming or 3D modeling environments where fluid motion is key.

"Chances are high that the HP 15 is one of the first laptops to pop up when you search for an inexpensive notebook. Indeed, its price tag is very tempting for many, and of course, this is the reason for its popularity. However, the HP 15" suffers from poor performance due to low power consumption. On the bright side, one of the good things about it is the port selection. On the inside, this includes two SODIMM slots for memory, an M.2 PCIe x4 slot for storage, and a SATA drive bay. However, the TN panel, and mediocre input devices are not ideal."
"Performance-wise, the GE78 offers a significant boost over the GE77 for just slightly higher power consumption. You'll have to get the RTX 4080 or 4090 configurations to see the performance advantages, however, as the RTX 4070 is closer in performance to the older RTX 3080 Ti. In terms of design, some users might prefer the 16:9 minimalistic look of the older GE77 over the 16:10 retro-inspired GE78 and vice versa. We wouldn't call one better than the other in terms of aesthetics, but we'll give the edge to the GE78 for its stronger hinges and larger keys and clickpad."
