If price is a major concern and your needs are basic, like browsing, office tasks, and media consumption, the HP 15" Laptop can be a more cost-effective option. The Lenovo Legion 5 15", while more expensive, offers superior performance for gaming, 3D work, and other demanding tasks thanks to its higher-tier components. However, it may also be heavier and have a shorter battery life than the HP, making it less ideal for frequent travel. Choose the HP for everyday use and budget-friendliness, or the Lenovo for high-performance needs if you're willing to invest more and can manage its portability and battery tradeoffs. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Legion 5 15" is good for general use, while the HP 15" Laptop is only fair.
The HP 15" Laptop has a less powerful CPU, less RAM, and lower screen resolution, which are very important for performance and visual experience, leading it to be rated fair for general use; its higher battery life and lower weight enhance its portability, making it more suitable for those who prioritize mobility. The Lenovo Legion 5 15", on the other hand, boasts a stronger CPU, more RAM, and a higher resolution screen, which greatly benefit performance and screen quality, thus it's rated good for general use, but it's heavier and has a shorter battery life, making it less portable.

The Lenovo Legion 5 15" is good for gaming and AI, while the HP 15" Laptop is poor.
The Lenovo Legion 5 15" outperforms the HP 15" Laptop in gaming and 3D tasks due to its superior Nvidia RTX 4060 graphics card and higher screen refresh rate of 165Hz, which is well-suited for fast-paced games compared to the HP's Intel UHD Graphics and 60Hz screen. Additionally, the Lenovo's display offers better screen quality with a higher resolution and brighter panel, complementing its stronger CPU, all of which contribute to a more immersive gaming and 3D experience.

The Lenovo Legion 5 15" is very good for engineering and design, while the HP 15" Laptop is only fair.
The HP 15" Laptop, with a lower-tier CPU, integrated graphics, and a standard screen resolution, offers basic functionality suitable for lighter engineering and design tasks, where high-performance computing or advanced graphics rendering is not as critical. In contrast, the Lenovo Legion 5 15" is equipped with a high-end CPU, dedicated GPU, and a higher-resolution display, providing the substantial computational and graphical power needed for more intensive engineering and design workloads, but it is less portable and has a shorter battery life.

The Lenovo Legion 5 15" has a better screen than the HP 15" Laptop for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
When considering the HP 15" Laptop, its screen offers enough resolution and brightness for everyday tasks but lacks the wide color range and high refresh rates needed for professional design work and fast-paced gaming. The Lenovo Legion 5 15" provides a vibrant and bright display suitable for detailed engineering and design work due to better color accuracy but is not optimized for gaming as it does not prioritize high refresh rates. Since both laptops have screens with limitations for gaming, particularly in refresh rate, neither is ideal for gamers who need smooth motion and quick screen updates to maximize their experience.

"Chances are high that the HP 15 is one of the first laptops to pop up when you search for an inexpensive notebook. Indeed, its price tag is very tempting for many, and of course, this is the reason for its popularity. However, the HP 15" suffers from poor performance due to low power consumption. On the bright side, one of the good things about it is the port selection. On the inside, this includes two SODIMM slots for memory, an M.2 PCIe x4 slot for storage, and a SATA drive bay. However, the TN panel, and mediocre input devices are not ideal."
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
