The HP 15" Laptop is a budget-friendly option suited for general use with basic processing power, making it suitable for everyday tasks like web browsing, document editing, and media consumption. It has the basics covered but isn't designed for heavy-duty work like 3D rendering, machine learning, or intensive gaming. On the other hand, the HP EliteBook 845 G9 costs more but provides better performance, a higher quality keyboard, and longer battery life, making it a robust choice for professionals who need more power for tasks such as engineering work or complex computations. The EliteBook also boasts a more vibrant display and additional features like a backlit keyboard and fingerprint reader, enhancing both its functionality and security. If portability is a priority, the EliteBook is lighter despite its sturdier build, and it offers a longer battery life for extended work on the go. Choose the 15" Laptop for casual, light use or the EliteBook if your work demands more power and features. Give Feedback

Although they have very similar scores, PerfectRec considers HP EliteBook 845 G9 to be only fair for gaming and AI, while the HP 15" Laptop is poor.
The HP 15" Laptop's fair gaming and 3D capabilities are due to its integrated Intel i3 UHD Graphics which are modest for such use and a standard 60Hz screen refresh rate, while the HP EliteBook 845 G9 offers better performance in the same categories because it's equipped with an AMD Radeon 660M GPU that provides a boost for gaming and 3D tasks and also has a 60Hz screen. Although the EliteBook's screen also caps at 60Hz, its higher screen quality, better CPU, and GPU make it more suited to gaming and 3D applications compared to the HP 15" Laptop.

How the HP 15" Laptop and the HP EliteBook 845 G9 compare to other laptops
"Chances are high that the HP 15 is one of the first laptops to pop up when you search for an inexpensive notebook. Indeed, its price tag is very tempting for many, and of course, this is the reason for its popularity. However, the HP 15" suffers from poor performance due to low power consumption. On the bright side, one of the good things about it is the port selection. On the inside, this includes two SODIMM slots for memory, an M.2 PCIe x4 slot for storage, and a SATA drive bay. However, the TN panel, and mediocre input devices are not ideal."
"The high-end version of the HP EliteBook 845 G9 with a Ryzen 9 PRO 6950HS, 32GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD packs a lot of power, but is still quiet and cool enough to operate in noise-sensitive environments. Quiet, cool and drawing on a massive 40 watts from the APU at the same time, however, is not possible. The 14-incher only has a single-fan solution and it only just manages to keep an near unthrottled Ryzen 9 in check."
