The HP 14" Laptop is less expensive and slightly more portable due to its lower weight and smaller size compared to the Lenovo V15. It also offers a better screen with higher brightness and superior color coverage which is beneficial for general use and watching videos. On the other hand, the Lenovo V15 provides a significant increase in storage and double the RAM, which can substantially enhance performance during multitasking and more demanding tasks such as engineering software. However, the V15's TN display panel is typically considered lower quality than the HP's IPS display, with poorer viewing angles and color accuracy. If long-term performance is a priority and you don't mind compromising on screen quality and some portability, the Lenovo V15 might be worth the extra cost. Conversely, if you prefer a better display and a more travel-friendly laptop at a lower cost, the HP might suit your needs. Give Feedback

The HP 14" Laptop has a better screen than the Lenovo V15 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design, while the Lenovo V15 has a better screen for content creation, and software development.
The HP 14" Laptop offers a balance between resolution and brightness that suits everyday tasks like browsing and document editing, whereas the Lenovo V15 falls short on these aspects, making it less ideal for general use. For engineering and design, where accurate color representation is crucial, the HP likely covers a wider range of color gamuts, offering better fidelity for professional work, while the Lenovo V15's color range limitations could hinder precise design work. 3D applications and gaming benefit from higher refresh rates for smoother visuals and the HP might manage this moderately, but both laptops may struggle in this area due to lower refresh rates and resolutions not tailored for high-end gaming or intensive 3D work.

How the HP 14" Laptop and the Lenovo V15 compare to other laptops
"This feels like an ideal laptop for someone who doesn’t want to spend a lot of money on a laptop and isn’t too bothered by things like build quality or construction. It’s a laptop that will be used to pay bills, keep track of expenses, do some online shopping, and will be tucked away in a spare bedroom/home office. It’s an appliance designed to do a job without fuss. It’s not a premium experience—the materials do feel a little cheap, the display won’t exactly wow you, and the battery life is nothing to write home about, especially if you’ve used more expensive devices. But overall it’s not too shabby, especially for the price."
"The strengths of the Lenovo V15 G2 AMD lie in its expandability of the RAM and allowing you to use two SSDs, in its performance that goes beyond everyday applications thanks to AMD's hexa-core CPU and Vega-7 iGPU, in its good keyboard, and its relatively robust case. In addition, the battery life of the office laptop is also acceptable, and the device stays cool and relatively quiet."
