The Lenovo LOQ 15 is good for general use, while the HP 14" Laptop is only fair.
The Lenovo LOQ 15 outperforms the HP 14" Laptop for general use due to its superior CPU, double the RAM, better screen quality, and greater battery capacity, which contributes to higher overall performance and user experience. However, the HP 14" is more portable owing to its lighter weight and compact form factor, albeit with lower performance and a shorter battery life which makes it less suitable for demanding tasks but easier to carry around.

The HP 14" Laptop with its AMD integrated graphics is suitable for less demanding titles, but its standard screen refresh rate might not provide the most fluid gaming or 3D experience. On the other hand, the Lenovo LOQ 15 with its dedicated Nvidia RTX 4050 GPU and higher screen refresh rate is better equipped for gaming and 3D applications, enabling more complex graphics and smoother visuals.

The Lenovo LOQ 15 is good for engineering and design, while the HP 14" Laptop is only fair.
The HP 14" Laptop's weaker CPU and integrated graphics make it less suitable for engineering and design tasks that demand higher processing power and graphics performance, which the Lenovo LOQ 15 offers with its robust Ryzen 7 processor and dedicated Nvidia RTX 4050 graphics card. Additionally, the Lenovo has double the RAM of the HP, which is crucial for multitasking and resource-intensive applications, and while the HP is more portable, the Lenovo boasts a better screen quality for detailed work.

The Lenovo LOQ 15 has a better screen than the HP 14" Laptop for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The HP 14" Laptop, with its fair screen quality, is adequate for tasks like web browsing and document editing where high resolution and color accuracy are less crucial. For engineering and design, the HP's color gamut coverage may be lacking, making the Lenovo LOQ 15 with its good screen quality and stronger color reproduction a better choice, offering more accurate visuals for precise work. However, both fall short for gaming and 3D applications due to lower refresh rates which can lead to less fluid motion and a less immersive experience.

"This feels like an ideal laptop for someone who doesn’t want to spend a lot of money on a laptop and isn’t too bothered by things like build quality or construction. It’s a laptop that will be used to pay bills, keep track of expenses, do some online shopping, and will be tucked away in a spare bedroom/home office. It’s an appliance designed to do a job without fuss. It’s not a premium experience—the materials do feel a little cheap, the display won’t exactly wow you, and the battery life is nothing to write home about, especially if you’ve used more expensive devices. But overall it’s not too shabby, especially for the price."
"Even after a short time with the LOQ 15, you'll find it has a lot going for it, but ultimately it's just "good"—not quite a star. The performance is respectable for the hardware it’s running, but Lenovo had to make some design sacrifices to trim the price. One of the better aspects is the keyboard, making it one of the better low-cost gaming laptops to actually put your hands on."
