For a balance of performance and portability with a high-quality display suitable for general use and gaming, the Gigabyte Aorus 15X is a strong choice. It offers a powerful Intel i9 processor and Nvidia RTX 4070 GPU, which are excellent for demanding tasks and gaming, along with a high refresh rate screen that's great for fast-paced action. However, it's heavier and has a shorter battery life compared to the Samsung.
On the other hand, if you prioritize a lightweight design, exceptional battery life, and a versatile 2-in-1 form factor, the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge 14 is ideal. Its OLED display with a higher resolution and superior color accuracy is perfect for media consumption and professional work that benefits from vibrant visuals. The Samsung also has a more compact build, making it more portable, but it may not handle intensive gaming or engineering tasks as well as the Gigabyte due to its less powerful Qualcomm Adreno 750 GPU. How the Gigabyte Aorus 15X and the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge 14 compare to other laptops
"The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is a strong showing of Raptor Lake and RTX 4000 series. While the Aorus had trouble keeping up in older games like Grand Theft Auto V, it nudged past the competition in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It also flexed its next-generation muscle in Far Cry 6 and Borderlands 3. While we were impressed with the overall build quality and design of the Aorus 15X, the keyboard lacked good tactile feedback. The display performed well in real-world testing despite its on-paper shortcoming with brightness, but the speakers are lackluster at best."
