The Gigabyte Aorus 15X offers good value for its midrange price, making it suitable for general use, 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering tasks. It is less expensive than the Razer Blade 18, yet provides a high refresh rate, good battery life, and a dedicated number pad. Conversely, the Razer Blade 18, while pricier, offers superior RAM, a larger 18-inch display with a higher resolution and screen aspect ratio, making it better for tasks that benefit from a larger screen and slightly better performance in 3D or machine learning applications. The Blade 18 also scores higher in keyboard quality, webcam, and speaker quality but falls short in battery life compared to the Aorus 15X. If budget is a concern and you need a balance of performance and price, the Aorus 15X is a strong contender; however, if the larger screen, increased RAM, and premium features are more critical for your work, and you are okay with a higher price, the Blade 18 may be more appropriate. The Razer Blade 18 is very good for general use, while the Gigabyte Aorus 15X is good.
The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is praised for its robust CPU and ample RAM, making it a powerful choice for a range of applications, and its high-quality screen enhances visuals for everyday tasks; however, its relatively heavier weight and limited battery life might detract from its portability for those on the move. In comparison, the Razer Blade 18 also boasts a potent CPU and double the RAM, which is exceptional for multitasking and demanding programs, along with a superior screen with higher brightness and color coverage, but its larger screen size and heavier build make it less portable and it has a shorter battery life still, making both laptops less suited for long periods away from a power source.

The Razer Blade 18 has a better screen than the Gigabyte Aorus 15X for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the Gigabyte Aorus 15X and the Razer Blade 18 both offer vibrant displays with high resolution and brightness, making text, images, and videos clear and enjoyable. When it comes to engineering and design tasks, the displays' wide color gamuts ensure accurate color reproduction, which is crucial for professional photo editing and graphic design. However, their lower refresh rates, while sufficient for most tasks, are not ideal for gaming and 3D applications that benefit from smoother visuals and faster screen response times.

How the Gigabyte Aorus 15X and the Razer Blade 18 compare to other laptops
"The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is a strong showing of Raptor Lake and RTX 4000 series. While the Aorus had trouble keeping up in older games like Grand Theft Auto V, it nudged past the competition in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It also flexed its next-generation muscle in Far Cry 6 and Borderlands 3. While we were impressed with the overall build quality and design of the Aorus 15X, the keyboard lacked good tactile feedback. The display performed well in real-world testing despite its on-paper shortcoming with brightness, but the speakers are lackluster at best."
"Razer made a powerful laptop in the Blade 18, showing off a beautiful and fast display and the same high-quality build we’ve come to expect from this product line. It’s also quite expensive, which is hardly a surprise, but bears repeating even in this price range. It’s pricier than the Scar 18 despite an inferior GPU and half the storage, so you really have to want the Blade 18’s design to justify the cost."
