Choosing between the Gigabyte Aorus 15X and the MSI Raider GE77Hx comes down to your preferences in gaming performance, portability, and screen size. The Aorus 15X is usually less expensive, more portable with a smaller screen, and has a superior graphics card, making it better for intensive gaming and 3D or machine learning tasks. However, the Raider GE77Hx has a larger screen, superior keyboard, and is designed with more premium materials. If higher gaming performance is your priority and you don't mind a smaller screen, the Aorus 15X is preferable. Conversely, if you're okay with slightly lower gaming performance but value a larger display and premium build, the Raider GE77Hx is more suitable. Give Feedback

The MSI Raider GE77Hx has a better screen than the Gigabyte Aorus 15X for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
For general use, both the Gigabyte Aorus 15X and MSI Raider GE77Hx offer pleasing visuals with their high-resolution displays and bright panels, ensuring clarity and easy visibility in various lighting conditions. For engineering and design, accuracy in color representation is crucial; the MSI Raider's display excels with a wider color gamut, providing more precise hues for professional work. However, for gaming and 3D applications where fluid motion is key, neither laptop's screen refresh rate is high enough to deliver the smoothest experience, which might disappoint gamers looking for that competitive edge.

How the Gigabyte Aorus 15X and the MSI Raider GE77Hx compare to other laptops
"The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is a strong showing of Raptor Lake and RTX 4000 series. While the Aorus had trouble keeping up in older games like Grand Theft Auto V, it nudged past the competition in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It also flexed its next-generation muscle in Far Cry 6 and Borderlands 3. While we were impressed with the overall build quality and design of the Aorus 15X, the keyboard lacked good tactile feedback. The display performed well in real-world testing despite its on-paper shortcoming with brightness, but the speakers are lackluster at best."
"The MSI Raider GE77 offers a lot of power for a lot of money. The main components consist of a Core i9-12900HX CPU, a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU (175 watts TGP, 16 GB VRAM), and 64 GB of RAM, which makes for a high overall performance level. The GeForce GPU in particular scores some of the highest scores we have seen from this chip. Both the CPU and the GPU are able to run at continuously high clock speeds. The relatively high heat and noise emissions match our expectations for this device class. With approximately 5.5 to 6.5 hours, the battery life is good for a powerful 4K laptop."
