The Gigabyte Aorus 15X offers better performance, particularly beneficial for engineering tasks and gaming, due to its higher-end processor and graphics unit. It also has more storage and RAM, a more vibrant screen, and longer battery life but comes at a higher cost and is heavier, making it less portable. In contrast, the MSI Cyborg 15 is more affordable and lighter, making it easier to carry around, but it compromises on performance aspects like processing speed, graphics, and display quality and has less storage and RAM. If you prioritize high performance and the better screen over price and portability, the Aorus 15X is the better choice, otherwise, for everyday tasks and better value, the Cyborg 15 could suit you well. The Gigabyte Aorus 15X has a better screen than the MSI Cyborg 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Gigabyte Aorus 15X likely has a high-resolution display with good brightness, making it suitable for daily tasks and professional design work, where color accuracy and a bright, sharp image are crucial. However, its refresh rate may not be high enough for gaming and 3D applications, which rely on smooth motion for the best experience. The MSI Cyborg 15, with a fair screen quality across the board, offers a balanced compromise but may not excel in any particular area due to average color range and lower refresh rates, which are drawbacks for precision in design and smoothness in gaming respectively.

How the Gigabyte Aorus 15X and the MSI Cyborg 15 compare to other laptops
"The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is a strong showing of Raptor Lake and RTX 4000 series. While the Aorus had trouble keeping up in older games like Grand Theft Auto V, it nudged past the competition in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It also flexed its next-generation muscle in Far Cry 6 and Borderlands 3. While we were impressed with the overall build quality and design of the Aorus 15X, the keyboard lacked good tactile feedback. The display performed well in real-world testing despite its on-paper shortcoming with brightness, but the speakers are lackluster at best."
"The focus of the MSI Cyborg 15 lies on a compromise of performance, mobility, and power consumption. Due to the reduced performance settings, the CPU and GPU perform below their capabilities. Nonetheless, their computing power is still sufficient for FHD gaming at high to maximum settings even then. The power consumption, which is low for a gaming laptop, can be translated into a good battery life. Realistic values of 7 to 8 h are still possible, despite the relatively small battery capacity of 53.5 Wh. Unfortunately the USB-C port doesn't offer any support for Power Delivery, which would be a sensible feature in the case of the Cyborg."
