The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is the go-to for gaming and tasks like 3D modeling or machine learning due to its higher performance hardware, but with decreased battery life and heavier weight, it's less travel-friendly. The LG Gram 17, on the other hand, offers a larger screen, more battery life, and is significantly lighter, making it a strong contender for general use and portability. If engineering software and intense multitasking are your priority, the Gigabyte's robust specs hold an edge. However, for everyday tasks, document editing, and media consumption with the ease of carrying around, the LG Gram's advantages are clear. Both fall within a similar price range, appealing for varied reasons. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 15X has a better screen than the LG Gram 17 for general use, and gaming and AI, while the LG Gram 17 has a better screen for content creation, and software development.
For general use, the Gigabyte Aorus 15X and LG Gram 17 both offer crisp visuals and wide viewing angles, ensuring text and images are clear and vibrant thanks to their high-resolution displays and bright panels. In engineering and design, both laptops' displays cover a broad spectrum of colors, essential for precision in color-sensitive tasks, although the Aorus offers slightly better color accuracy for professionals. However, for gaming and 3D work where smooth motion is key, the Aorus falls short as it lacks the high refresh rate that is critical for these activities, making it less suitable for enthusiasts and professionals in those fields.

How the Gigabyte Aorus 15X and the LG Gram 17 compare to other laptops
"The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is a strong showing of Raptor Lake and RTX 4000 series. While the Aorus had trouble keeping up in older games like Grand Theft Auto V, it nudged past the competition in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It also flexed its next-generation muscle in Far Cry 6 and Borderlands 3. While we were impressed with the overall build quality and design of the Aorus 15X, the keyboard lacked good tactile feedback. The display performed well in real-world testing despite its on-paper shortcoming with brightness, but the speakers are lackluster at best."
"The LG Gram 17 is a light office laptop with a large display and great battery life. The newest incarnation of the Gram 17 can be classified as a model update. LG uses the predecessor's compact, light magnesium case along with an identical port configuration (including 2x Thunderbolt 4) and keyboard. Changes can be found in the hardware. With the Gram 17 (2022), LG offers a light (approx. 1,350 g), mobile work device - and finally with a matte display."
