The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is suited for intensive gaming and engineering tasks with its high-performing processor and graphics card, yet it is less portable and heavier. The LG Gram 16 offers greater portability, a larger screen with a higher resolution aspect ratio for productivity, but has lower performance capabilities for gaming or engineering use. The choice depends on whether you prioritize gaming/engineering performance and heavier build with the Aorus, or daily productivity tasks and portability with the Gram. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is very good for engineering and design, while the LG Gram 16 is good.
The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is superior for engineering and design tasks due to its high-end CPU and GPU which are crucial for intensive tasks, and its excellent screen quality enhances visual work, though it is heavier and has louder operating noise, impacting portability and noise-sensitive environments. The LG Gram 16, while still apt for engineering and design due to a competent CPU and good screen quality, offers significant portability benefits and a quieter operation at the expense of the lower-tier integrated graphics, less suited for graphics-intensive applications.

The Gigabyte Aorus 15X has a better screen than the LG Gram 16 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and content creation.
If you prioritize screen sharpness and vivid display for tasks like browsing and document editing, both the Gigabyte Aorus 15X and LG Gram 16 provide crisp images due to their high resolution. For engineering and design, where accurate color representation is crucial, both laptops offer good color coverage, ensuring your designs appear as intended. However, for gaming and 3D applications, which benefit from smooth visuals and rapid response, the lower refresh rate on these laptops may make fast-paced visuals less fluid compared to models designed with gaming-grade screens.

How the Gigabyte Aorus 15X and the LG Gram 16 compare to other laptops
"The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is a strong showing of Raptor Lake and RTX 4000 series. While the Aorus had trouble keeping up in older games like Grand Theft Auto V, it nudged past the competition in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It also flexed its next-generation muscle in Far Cry 6 and Borderlands 3. While we were impressed with the overall build quality and design of the Aorus 15X, the keyboard lacked good tactile feedback. The display performed well in real-world testing despite its on-paper shortcoming with brightness, but the speakers are lackluster at best."
"The LG Gram 16 is a lightweight device with stability issues. The LG Gram 16Z90Q with a Core i7-1260P is made with portability in mind and places less of a focus on users with high demands on performance. The compact and light chassis is particularly practical when you are on the go. The device is not only comfortably small and lightweight, it also boasts a great battery life. When connected to mains, on the other hand, the 16-inch device is rather disappointing. The standard cooling mode causes extreme volatility in terms of CPU, SSD and iGPU performance. The meager stability of the chassis may also put off some potential buyers."
