The Gigabyte Aorus 15X offers better performance for intensive tasks such as 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering, thanks to its more powerful main processor and GPU. It also has a higher refresh rate display which is beneficial for fast motion, like gaming. However, it's heavier and has a shorter battery life, making it less portable. The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro, on the other hand, is lighter and has a longer battery life, making it more portable. Its display has a higher resolution and supports touch, but the laptop provides lower performance for demanding tasks due to a less powerful CPU and integrated graphics, making it more suitable for general use than high-end gaming or engineering applications. The Gigabyte Aorus 15X and Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro are both good for general use, though the Gigabyte Aorus 15X is somewhat better.
The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is considered very good for general use because it has a high-performance CPU and large battery, which suits extensive multitasking and longer use without recharging, though it is less portable due to its weight. The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro, while having good screen quality and being more portable due to lighter weight and smaller size, offers a lower-tier CPU, which may affect performance during demanding tasks.

The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is very good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro is good.
The Gigabyte Aorus 15X offers a higher-performance CPU and GPU, along with a larger and faster refresh rate screen suited for demanding engineering tasks and design work, whereas the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro, with its lower-tier CPU and integrated graphics, lighter weight, and smaller size, provides better portability and a higher resolution touchscreen. While both come with quality IPS displays and sufficient RAM for multitasking, the Aorus 15X's superior performance for engineering applications comes at the cost of being heavier and thicker, making it less portable than the Slim 7i Pro.

The Gigabyte Aorus 15X has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro for gaming and AI, software development, and content creation, while the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro has a better screen for engineering and design.
If you prioritize a vibrant, clear display for everyday tasks like browsing the web and working with documents, both the Gigabyte Aorus 15X and Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro have high-resolution screens with bright images that make for excellent viewing. For engineering and design, the Lenovo has the edge with its wider color gamut, ensuring more accurate color representation which is essential for detail-oriented work. However, if you're a gaming enthusiast or work with 3D applications, neither of these laptops would be ideal due to their lower refresh rates, which could result in less smooth visuals in fast-paced scenarios.

How the Gigabyte Aorus 15X and the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro compare to other laptops
"The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is a strong showing of Raptor Lake and RTX 4000 series. While the Aorus had trouble keeping up in older games like Grand Theft Auto V, it nudged past the competition in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It also flexed its next-generation muscle in Far Cry 6 and Borderlands 3. While we were impressed with the overall build quality and design of the Aorus 15X, the keyboard lacked good tactile feedback. The display performed well in real-world testing despite its on-paper shortcoming with brightness, but the speakers are lackluster at best."
"The main selling point of the IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro versus a regular IdeaPad Slim 7 is its faster Core H-series CPU. In reality, the Core i7-11370H is only marginally faster than the U-series Core i7-1165G7 to the point where most users are not likely to notice the benefits. The slight performance uptick comes at the cost of slightly higher power consumption as well meaning owners will have to deal with potentially warmer temperatures or louder fans to compensate. Unless if you happen to be a power user, then the regular non-Pro model will be more than enough. Once you go 90 Hz, you can't go back."
