The Gigabyte Aorus 15X offers high performance for intensive gaming, 3D rendering, or engineering tasks with its powerful processor and high-end graphics card, but its higher price tag reflects this capability. However, it's heavier and has a shorter battery life, which impacts portability. On the other hand, the Lenovo Flex 5 14 is more affordable and lighter, with longer battery life, and its touchscreen and convertible design make it convenient for general use. While it's well-suited for everyday tasks, its integrated graphics mean it won't handle intensive gaming or professional-grade creative work as effectively. Choose the Gigabyte if performance is a priority and you don't mind the extra weight and cost, or the Lenovo for better portability, battery life, and value, if your computing demands are more modest. The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is very good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo Flex 5 14 is good.
The Gigabyte Aorus 15X with its top-tier Intel CPU and Nvidia GPU, is excellent for demanding engineering software, offering high-end performance and screen quality; however, its heavier weight and louder operating noise make it less portable and quieter than the Lenovo Flex 5 14, which balances competent AMD-based performance, portability, and a touch-enabled screen for a flexible, albeit less powerful, engineering and design experience.

The Gigabyte Aorus 15X has a better screen than the Lenovo Flex 5 14 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Gigabyte Aorus 15X boasts a vibrant, high-resolution display with sufficient brightness, making it well-suited for everyday tasks and professional design work where color accuracy is key. However, its lower refresh rate affects gaming experiences, where smooth motion is critical. Conversely, the Lenovo Flex 5 14 offers an adequate display for routine activities and casual creative tasks, but it falls short for specialized engineering applications and fast-paced gaming due to subpar color range and modest refresh rates.

How the Gigabyte Aorus 15X and the Lenovo Flex 5 14 compare to other laptops
"The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is a strong showing of Raptor Lake and RTX 4000 series. While the Aorus had trouble keeping up in older games like Grand Theft Auto V, it nudged past the competition in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It also flexed its next-generation muscle in Far Cry 6 and Borderlands 3. While we were impressed with the overall build quality and design of the Aorus 15X, the keyboard lacked good tactile feedback. The display performed well in real-world testing despite its on-paper shortcoming with brightness, but the speakers are lackluster at best."
"The highlight of the latest IdeaPad Flex 5 14 is clearly its AMD CPU. The octa-core Ryzen 7 5700U is insanely fast even when compared to the best Tiger Lake Ultrabooks in the market or even Core H CPUs in many gaming laptops. It's a lot of raw processing power for what is supposed to be a budget 14-inch convertible. If your daily workloads can benefit from extra multi-thread CPU performance, then look no further than the inexpensive AMD-powered Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 14. For regular on-the-road browsing or video streaming, however, a slimmer and lighter 10th gen Core Yoga, Spectre, or XPS would be a more balanced option."
