The Gigabyte Aorus 15X offers better performance for 3D, machine learning, and engineering tasks due to its more powerful processor and GPU, ideal for those with intensive computing needs. It is slightly more portable; however, it is also the less expensive option. On the other hand, the Gigabyte Aorus 17G has a larger screen, which might be better for those preferring substantial display real estate and visuals, but with a lesser resolution and slower processor, it may not handle demanding tasks as effectively. The 17G is also the more expensive model and has less storage space. Both have similar battery capacities and RAM. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 15X has a better screen than the Gigabyte Aorus 17G for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Aorus 15X and 17G laptops likely have high resolutions and solid brightness, making them excellent for general tasks, while their precise color representation benefits engineering and design work due to encompassing wide color gamuts. However, their poorer performance for gaming and 3D applications suggests they have lower refresh rates, which are less optimal for the smooth visuals that these tasks demand. The panel type's moderate importance for 3D tasks may indicate these laptops have quality panels, yet they fall short in refresh rate, overshadowing the benefit of their good resolutions in fast-paced gaming scenarios.

How the Gigabyte Aorus 15X and the Gigabyte Aorus 17G compare to other laptops
"The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is a strong showing of Raptor Lake and RTX 4000 series. While the Aorus had trouble keeping up in older games like Grand Theft Auto V, it nudged past the competition in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It also flexed its next-generation muscle in Far Cry 6 and Borderlands 3. While we were impressed with the overall build quality and design of the Aorus 15X, the keyboard lacked good tactile feedback. The display performed well in real-world testing despite its on-paper shortcoming with brightness, but the speakers are lackluster at best."
"The Aorus 17G isn't among the top RTX 3080 laptops due to its relatively low TGP of 105 watts. The device's gaming performance is average for an RTX 3080. For maximum performance, competitors like the Lenovo Legion 7 or the Alienware m17 R4 are recommended With the Aorus 17G, Gigabyte delivers a well-rounded gaming laptop. However, the device generates a high noise level. Throttling is not an issue. The CPU and GPU can develop their performance uniformly. Nevertheless, the device produces a lot of noise under load - more than many competitors."
