The Gigabyte Aorus 15P offers strong performance with a high refresh screen and a full-sized keyboard, making it suitable for gaming and resource-intensive tasks. It is less expensive but heavier and has substantial fan noise, with middling battery life. Alternatively, the Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 comes with a higher price tag, a unique 3:2 touchscreen display, and superior build quality, making it very portable with better battery life. It is more suited for creative professionals who prioritize a higher resolution display and pen support, though it has adequate performance for engineering tasks. It is newer with some premium features, but doesn't favor gamers as much as the Aorus 15P. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 15P has a better screen than the Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 for gaming and AI, while the Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 has a better screen for general use, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Gigabyte Aorus 15P's screen delivers clear and vibrant visuals suitable for everyday tasks and professional design work due to its high resolution and brightness, yet its lower refresh rate means it may not be as smooth for high-speed gaming or 3D rendering. Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 offers a display with high resolution and superior color accuracy that appeals to engineers and creative professionals, ensuring precise color representation in their work. However, its sacrifice in refresh rate, like the Gigabyte, makes it less ideal for gaming or 3D applications where fluid motion is key.

The Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 and Gigabyte Aorus 15P are both very good for engineering and design.
The Gigabyte Aorus 15P is well-suited for engineering and design due to its powerful Intel i7 processor, RTX 3080 GPU, ample 32GB of RAM, and high-refresh-rate screen, though the Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 offers a unique flexible hinge for tablet use, a higher resolution, and a larger 64GB of RAM which pairs with its RTX 4060 GPU, making it also highly capable for design tasks, with the tradeoff being lower portability due to its versatility. Both laptops have excellent screen quality important for detailed work, but the Surface Laptop Studio 2 has the advantage in portability, keyboard, and speaker quality, while the Aorus 15P might appeal more to those prioritizing performance over form factor and touchscreen capability.

How the Gigabyte Aorus 15P and the Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 compare to other laptops
"The Aorus 15P is a high-end gaming laptop with fast 360 Hz display. Gaming performance in the Aorus 15P YD is very high thanks to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 installed here. However, with the use of the Intel Core i7-11800H, CPU performance also closes in on the strong competition from AMD. SSD performance is excellent as well, and it leaves no room for criticism. Thanks to the built-in Intel Core i7-11800H, the system performance of the Aorus 15P YD increases significantly."
"The new Surface Laptop Studio with its foldable display is supposed to replace the old Surface Book and the overall impression is good after our review. The build quality and the materials are top-notch, the performance utilization of the two components is solid and the device does not show any major flaws in terms of display or speakers, either. The folding mechanism leaves a sold impression as well, but it remains to be seen how it will hold up over the years. The so-called presentation mode is also not ideal since it covers the whole keyboard."
