The Gigabyte Aorus 15P, being the more expensive option, offers you more powerful hardware suitable for demanding tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, and gaming. It comes with a robust processor, high-end graphics card, and larger storage and memory, which can significantly enhance performance for these intensive applications. However, it's heavier and has a shorter battery life, making it less portable than the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15". The Lenovo IdeaPad 1, on the other hand, is more affordable and provides adequate performance for general use, longer battery life, and better portability, but it's less suited for high-end gaming or professional software applications. It has a moderate processor and integrated graphics, so it's a practical choice for everyday tasks, lighter workloads, and users who prioritize mobility and battery life over cutting-edge performance. The Gigabyte Aorus 15P is very good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is only fair.
The Gigabyte Aorus 15P is equipped with a high-performance CPU and GPU, along with substantial RAM and a high-quality screen, making it ideal for demanding engineering and design tasks. In contrast, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" has a mid-range CPU and integrated graphics, less RAM, and a screen with lower color coverage, which is adequate for less intensive tasks but may struggle with complex engineering designs and simulations.

The Gigabyte Aorus 15P has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and content creation.
The Gigabyte Aorus 15P likely offers vibrant colors and fine details favored for engineering and general use, but it may lack the high refresh rate crucial for smooth visuals in gaming and 3D applications. The Lenovo IdeaPad 1, with a display adequate for everyday tasks and entry-level design work, probably doesn't provide the wide color gamuts required for professional color work, nor the high refresh rates for gaming. In both cases, disappointments in gaming and 3D stem from an insufficient refresh rate, despite presenting sufficient quality for less demanding visual tasks.

How the Gigabyte Aorus 15P and the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" compare to other laptops
"The Aorus 15P is a high-end gaming laptop with fast 360 Hz display. Gaming performance in the Aorus 15P YD is very high thanks to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 installed here. However, with the use of the Intel Core i7-11800H, CPU performance also closes in on the strong competition from AMD. SSD performance is excellent as well, and it leaves no room for criticism. Thanks to the built-in Intel Core i7-11800H, the system performance of the Aorus 15P YD increases significantly."
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is affordable and pretty efficient. At the end of the day, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 (15″, 2023) is one of the better affordable laptops money can buy right now. It has a decent performance, albeit coming from a CPU that is based on old architecture. Playing low-intensity games is possible but at low to medium settings. We are really happy with the cooling setup, but the main event here is the battery life. We got 9 hours of either Web browsing or video playback, which is a great result. Especially if you compare this device with the ASUS E410."
