In choosing between the Gigabyte Aorus 15P and the Gigabyte Aorus 17H, consider that the 17H has a more recent processor and a stronger graphics card, which better suits intensive gaming, 3D rendering, and machine learning tasks. The 17H's larger screen could benefit engineering work, but it may not be as portable due to its size and weight. Both have the same storage capacity. If a larger display and top-tier performance are priorities, and portability isn't a major concern, the Aorus 17H is the better option. However, for more mobility and sufficient performance for most tasks, the Aorus 15P could be the smarter choice. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H has a better screen than the Gigabyte Aorus 15P for general use, gaming and AI, content creation, and software development.
The Gigabyte Aorus 15P offers a balance between resolution and brightness, making it suitable for typical tasks like watching videos and browsing, but its lower refresh rate impacts its appeal for gaming and 3D work where smooth motion is crucial. With the Gigabyte Aorus 17H, the emphasis on a brighter and higher resolution display enhances its effectiveness for general use and detailed engineering work, but like the 15P, it falls short for gaming due to the lower refresh rate. Both laptops have good color accuracy for engineering and design tasks, yet they may not satisfy gamers or 3D designers seeking fluid visuals at high refresh rates.

The Gigabyte Aorus 15P has good portability, while the Gigabyte Aorus 17H has poor portability.
The most portable laptops are small, thin, and light.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17H and Gigabyte Aorus 15P are both good for general use.
The Gigabyte Aorus 15P is suited for general use with a strong CPU, ample RAM, and high-quality screen, offering ease of transport due to its smaller size and lighter weight compared to the Aorus 17H, which though it provides a more powerful CPU and larger screen for an immersive experience, sacrifices some portability and has relatively less RAM, which could affect multitasking performance. Both laptops have substantial storage and similar battery capacities, but the Aorus 17H benefits from a newer operating system, suggesting better long-term support and feature updates.

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H and Gigabyte Aorus 15P are both very good for engineering and design.
The Gigabyte Aorus 15P, with its high-end GPU and ample RAM, provides smooth performance for engineering and design tasks, while the Aorus 17H boasts an even newer processor and stronger GPU, perfect for the most demanding software. However, the 15P's smaller size and marginally higher weight are tradeoffs for enhanced portability compared to the larger, slightly heavier 17H, which might be less convenient to carry but offers a larger screen and better battery life for extended usage.

How the Gigabyte Aorus 15P and the Gigabyte Aorus 17H compare to other laptops
"The Aorus 15P is a high-end gaming laptop with fast 360 Hz display. Gaming performance in the Aorus 15P YD is very high thanks to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 installed here. However, with the use of the Intel Core i7-11800H, CPU performance also closes in on the strong competition from AMD. SSD performance is excellent as well, and it leaves no room for criticism. Thanks to the built-in Intel Core i7-11800H, the system performance of the Aorus 15P YD increases significantly."
"Overall though, it’s *lots of swearing* fast, seriously. For work, rendering, gaming, it doesn’t matter, this is a true weapon of performance that’s going to run rings around most high-end desktop systems. If you absolutely have to game at ultra-high refresh rates on the go (but within thinking distance of a plug socket), this is the ticket. I can’t see such an extreme being that appealing to everyone, but if you take your gaming seriously, or even professionally, there’s nothing else out there that comes close that you can still fit in your backpack and travel with."
