The Gigabyte Aero 5 offers a larger, high-resolution OLED screen which is excellent for color-sensitive work but has a lower refresh rate suitable for general use and not fast-paced gaming. It also has a higher battery capacity for longer use on a single charge, but this comes with added weight making it less portable than the Razer Blade 14 (2023). On the other hand, the Razer Blade 14 is lighter, boasts a higher screen refresh rate good for gaming, and has a newer GPU which may offer better performance in engineering applications and 3D tasks. However, it also has a shorter battery life, meaning it will need more frequent charging. The Razer is typically more expensive and offers different advantages, such as a higher portability rating and superior build quality, making it a better choice for users needing a balance of performance and mobility. The Tech Revolutionist

Zhi Cheng | May 2022
"It is unfortunate that the Gigabyte AERO notebook series have seem to lost its charm, as it’s not exactly any much different from the AORUS series now. Regardless, content creators and designers will certainly still appreciate the features on the AERO 5 XE4, which are fundamental to their work. This largely revolved around the notebook’s display, which is colour calibrated and validated, high resolution (4K) and with great AMOLED colour representation. Now that the AERO 5 XE4 has improved its performance with the latest CPU and GPU, the professionals can also appreciate the improved productivity from the notebook."

NotebookCheck

Allen Ngo | May 2022
"After making a huge splash with the original 2021 model, it's expected that the 2022 refresh would be more of a minor update to an already impressive machine. It adds a higher resolution webcam (720p to 1080p), faster CPU (Ryzen 9 5900HX to Ryzen 9 6900HX), faster GPU (RTX 3070/3080 to 3070/3080 Ti), faster RAM (DDR4-3200 to DDR5-4800), faster M.2 SSD support (PCIe3 x4 to PCIe4 x4), newer WLAN module (Killer AX1690i to Qualcomm WCN685x), and a MUX switch for the new integrated Radeon 680M GPU. It's indubitably an upgrade especially in terms of single-thread processor performance."
