If you prioritize high-end gaming or demanding tasks like video editing, a more expensive laptop like the Gigabyte Aero 5 with its robust graphics and processing power could be a better fit despite its heavier weight and possibly shorter battery life. Conversely, if portability and battery longevity are crucial for your everyday work or travel, and you're mainly focused on business or general use, the Lenovo ThinkPad X13 offers a more compact design and typically longer battery life at a lower cost, albeit with less capability for graphically intensive tasks. The Gigabyte Aero 5 and Lenovo ThinkPad X13 are both very good for engineering and design, though the Gigabyte Aero 5 is somewhat better.
The Gigabyte Aero 5, with its robust CPU, ample RAM, and high-end GPU, excels in engineering tasks and design work due to its power and sharp display, but with reduced portability. The Lenovo ThinkPad X13, while still suitable for engineering and design with good CPU and RAM, trades some performance and screen quality for better portability and excellent keyboard quality, making it a more balanced option for on-the-go professionals.

The Gigabyte Aero 5 has a better screen than the Lenovo ThinkPad X13 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design, while the Lenovo ThinkPad X13 has a better screen for content creation.
The Gigabyte Aero 5 boasts a display with high resolution and brightness, as well as a wide color range, making it ideal for tasks that demand color accuracy and clear visuals, such as engineering and design work. However, its lower refresh rate limits its ability to deliver the smooth visuals that are critical for an immersive gaming and 3D experience. In contrast, the Lenovo ThinkPad X13 offers adequate resolution and color representation, suiting everyday tasks and professional design projects, but like the Aero 5, its display lacks the high refresh rates gamers and 3D artists would prefer for the best experience.

How the Gigabyte Aero 5 and the Lenovo ThinkPad X13 compare to other laptops
"It is unfortunate that the Gigabyte AERO notebook series have seem to lost its charm, as it’s not exactly any much different from the AORUS series now. Regardless, content creators and designers will certainly still appreciate the features on the AERO 5 XE4, which are fundamental to their work. This largely revolved around the notebook’s display, which is colour calibrated and validated, high resolution (4K) and with great AMOLED colour representation. Now that the AERO 5 XE4 has improved its performance with the latest CPU and GPU, the professionals can also appreciate the improved productivity from the notebook."
"The Lenovo ThinkPad X13 G4 has very good input devices, a wide array of security features and ports as well as 5G in the tested configuration. It is more compact and lightweight compared with its predecessor, and it has improved speakers and a slightly better webcam. On the other hand, the fan is more annoying and the performance is barely improved. The battery is worse as well, but this is primarily attributable to the OLED screen - if this aspect is important, buyers should choose the IPS Low Power LCD."
