For a blend of performance and high-resolution visuals, the Gigabyte Aero 5, with its powerful graphics card and OLED screen, is suitable, but consider its heavier weight and moderate battery life if portability and long usage away from a power source are important. The Lenovo LOQ 15 offers a balance with a high refresh rate IPS display for smooth visuals in gaming and a lighter build, but has less storage and a lower screen resolution. Both laptops are capable for general use, 3D tasks, and engineering applications, so your choice should hinge on specific needs such as screen quality, portability, and storage requirements. The Gigabyte Aero 5 is very good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo LOQ 15 is good.
The Gigabyte Aero 5 excels in engineering and design use mainly due to its powerful Intel i7 processor, Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti graphics, and high-resolution OLED screen which offers excellent color accuracy and contrast. The Lenovo LOQ 15, while also suitable for engineering and design use, offers a different balance with its capable AMD Ryzen 7 processor and Nvidia RTX 4050 graphics, but its IPS screen has a lower resolution and color coverage, which is a tradeoff for users that may prioritize other factors such as portability or budget.

The Gigabyte Aero 5 has a better screen than the Lenovo LOQ 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
For general use, the Gigabyte Aero 5's screen provides vibrant colors and sharp images due to its higher resolution and brightness, which enhances everyday tasks like browsing and video streaming. For engineering and design, the Aero 5's wide color gamuts ensure that professionals see accurate colors, crucial for tasks that demand color precision. However, for gaming and 3D applications, the Aero 5's lower refresh rate may lead to less fluid motion, while the Lenovo LOQ 15 offers a similar compromise but with slightly less impressive color and brightness for general purposes and professional work.

How the Gigabyte Aero 5 and the Lenovo LOQ 15 compare to other laptops
"It is unfortunate that the Gigabyte AERO notebook series have seem to lost its charm, as it’s not exactly any much different from the AORUS series now. Regardless, content creators and designers will certainly still appreciate the features on the AERO 5 XE4, which are fundamental to their work. This largely revolved around the notebook’s display, which is colour calibrated and validated, high resolution (4K) and with great AMOLED colour representation. Now that the AERO 5 XE4 has improved its performance with the latest CPU and GPU, the professionals can also appreciate the improved productivity from the notebook."
"Even after a short time with the LOQ 15, you'll find it has a lot going for it, but ultimately it's just "good"—not quite a star. The performance is respectable for the hardware it’s running, but Lenovo had to make some design sacrifices to trim the price. One of the better aspects is the keyboard, making it one of the better low-cost gaming laptops to actually put your hands on."
