For a balance of performance and portability with a stunning OLED display, the Gigabyte Aero 5 is an excellent choice, especially for creative professionals. It offers a high-resolution 4K screen with exceptional color accuracy, making it ideal for tasks that require fine detail and vibrant colors. The Aero 5 is also lighter and thinner, making it more suitable for on-the-go use. However, its refresh rate is limited to 60Hz, which might not be ideal for fast-paced gaming. On the other hand, the Lenovo Legion Pro 5i (2024) is a powerhouse designed for gaming and intensive tasks, featuring a more advanced GPU and a higher refresh rate display that's great for smooth gaming experiences. It also has a larger screen with a taller aspect ratio, providing more vertical space for multitasking. While it's slightly heavier and less portable, it offers better performance for 3D rendering, machine learning, and gaming, along with superior battery life. Consider the Aero 5 if you prioritize a high-quality display and portability for creative work. Choose the Legion Pro 5i for its superior gaming and processing capabilities, especially if you plan to use it primarily in one location and value a higher refresh rate and longer battery life. The Tech Revolutionist

Zhi Cheng | May 2022
"It is unfortunate that the Gigabyte AERO notebook series have seem to lost its charm, as it’s not exactly any much different from the AORUS series now. Regardless, content creators and designers will certainly still appreciate the features on the AERO 5 XE4, which are fundamental to their work. This largely revolved around the notebook’s display, which is colour calibrated and validated, high resolution (4K) and with great AMOLED colour representation. Now that the AERO 5 XE4 has improved its performance with the latest CPU and GPU, the professionals can also appreciate the improved productivity from the notebook."

PCMag

Brian Westover | August 2023
"The midpriced Lenovo Legion Pro 5i Gen 8 follows some of our favorite gaming machines, including last year's model and the higher-end Legion Pro 7i Gen 8 tested earlier this year. But pedigree doesn't count for much in the computer world, and gaming laptops require a certain level of power and graphics performance to justify their prices. The Pro 5i Gen 8 just doesn't do that, offering middling CPU and GPU performance rather than the sort of muscle that would make it a great value."
