For better performance in 3D rendering, machine learning, and intensive engineering tasks, the Gigabyte Aero 5 stands out with a more powerful GPU and CPU that excel in these areas, but its higher cost reflects its premium capabilities. It also offers an OLED display with superior color accuracy, making it ideal for creative professionals who need precise color representation. However, it's heavier and has a shorter battery life, making it less portable than the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i. In contrast, the IdeaPad Pro 5i is lighter and more affordable, making it a more portable choice suitable for general use and casual gaming, but its performance in demanding tasks and color accuracy isn't as high as the Aero 5. The Gigabyte Aero 5 and Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i are both very good for engineering and design, though the Gigabyte Aero 5 is somewhat better.
The Gigabyte Aero 5 is well-suited for engineering and design because of its powerful CPU and GPU combo, ample RAM, and superb screen quality with OLED display and high color accuracy, though it is less portable due to its weight. The Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i also serves engineering and design needs with a strong CPU and high-quality GPU, a good amount of RAM, and a high-resolution IPS screen, in a more portable form factor, but with less storage and a screen that's less color-accurate compared to the Gigabyte Aero 5.

The Gigabyte Aero 5 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i for general use, engineering and design, and content creation.
The Gigabyte Aero 5 has a display with vibrant colors and high resolution that's ideal for professionals who need accurate color representation for tasks like photo editing or CAD work, but its lower refresh rate isn't suited for the fast-paced visuals required in gaming and 3D applications. The Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i, while offering a very good display for everyday tasks and sufficient color accuracy for engineering and design, falls short for gaming and 3D content due to a less than optimal refresh rate. Both laptops, however, will serve you well for general use with bright, sharp screens, offering a comfortable viewing experience for everyday tasks like browsing, video streaming, and document editing.

How the Gigabyte Aero 5 and the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i compare to other laptops
"It is unfortunate that the Gigabyte AERO notebook series have seem to lost its charm, as it’s not exactly any much different from the AORUS series now. Regardless, content creators and designers will certainly still appreciate the features on the AERO 5 XE4, which are fundamental to their work. This largely revolved around the notebook’s display, which is colour calibrated and validated, high resolution (4K) and with great AMOLED colour representation. Now that the AERO 5 XE4 has improved its performance with the latest CPU and GPU, the professionals can also appreciate the improved productivity from the notebook."
"Lenovo’s IdeaPad Pro 5i represents an impressive opening salvo for Meteor Lake in the ultraportable space against familiar foes from AMD and Apple. Not only does the Core Ultra 5 125H processor provide good performance across the board, but battery life remains a strong point against the Acer Swift Edge 16 with its AMD Ryzen 7 7840U processor. It can’t quite match the endurance of the 15-inch MacBook Pro, but the gap is shrinking."
