The Gigabyte Aero 5, being more expensive, offers high performance suitable for intensive gaming, engineering, and creative tasks due to its advanced processor and graphics card. It also has a high-resolution OLED screen, which will provide better color accuracy and contrast, beneficial for tasks like video editing or graphic design. However, it's heavier and less portable. On the other hand, the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" is more affordable, has a larger screen, and is lighter, making it more portable. It should suffice for general use and less demanding tasks, but its performance in gaming, engineering, or intensive 3D/machine learning tasks will be significantly less than the Aero 5. The Gigabyte Aero 5 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
If you primarily use your laptop for daily tasks like browsing, watching videos, and document editing, the Gigabyte Aero 5 offers a sharp, bright display that makes these activities more enjoyable. For engineering and design work where color accuracy is crucial, this laptop's wide color gamut ensures that designs and projects appear with true-to-life colors. However, for gaming and 3D rendering, its lower refresh rate may not provide as smooth an experience as specialized gaming laptops, potentially making fast-paced visuals less fluid.

How the Gigabyte Aero 5 and the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" compare to other laptops
"It is unfortunate that the Gigabyte AERO notebook series have seem to lost its charm, as it’s not exactly any much different from the AORUS series now. Regardless, content creators and designers will certainly still appreciate the features on the AERO 5 XE4, which are fundamental to their work. This largely revolved around the notebook’s display, which is colour calibrated and validated, high resolution (4K) and with great AMOLED colour representation. Now that the AERO 5 XE4 has improved its performance with the latest CPU and GPU, the professionals can also appreciate the improved productivity from the notebook."
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" defies expectations. Indeed, it is just a minor upgrade over last year. However, this doesn’t make the laptop any less terrific. It’s got a great performance, courtesy of the Ryzen 5x25U processors. In addition, you get a pretty good battery life. Perhaps, the 2-hour decrease in video playback, compared to last year is not great, but still, 10 hours of Web browsing and 7 hours of video playback is okay for 17-inch notebooks."
