The Gigabyte Aero 5 is typically less expensive than the Gigabyte Aorus 17H, offering a midrange price point with an OLED screen and a high resolution, best for vibrant colors and sharp details, useful for tasks like photo editing. However, the Aorus 17H, while more expensive, boasts a newer processor and a more powerful graphics card, making it better suited for gaming, 3D design, and intensive engineering applications. If portability is important, note that both laptops are relatively heavy and similar in dimensions, but the Aero 5 is slightly lighter. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H is very good for gaming and AI, while the Gigabyte Aero 5 is good.
The Gigabyte Aero 5 boasts an Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti GPU known for solid gaming and 3D performance but has a lower screen refresh rate, while the Gigabyte Aorus 17H steps up with an Nvidia RTX 4080 GPU providing top-tier gaming and 3D capabilities complemented by a much higher refresh rate suitable for fast-paced gaming. Both laptops are equipped with high-quality screens and capable CPUs, but the Aero 5 features an OLED display for richer colors, and the Aorus 17H, although with an IPS screen, offers smoother visuals through its higher refresh rate.

The Gigabyte Aero 5 has a better screen than the Gigabyte Aorus 17H for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation, while the Gigabyte Aorus 17H has a better screen for gaming and AI.
The Gigabyte Aero 5's display boasts superior resolution and brightness, providing clear and vivid visuals that enhance both everyday tasks and detail-oriented engineering work by offering accurate colors across wide gamuts, essential for precision design. However, the Aero 5 falls short for gaming and 3D applications due to a lower refresh rate, which can lead to less smooth visuals in fast-paced scenarios. In contrast, the Aorus 17H balances good resolution and adequate brightness for daily use, decent color representation for professional work, but like the Aero 5, it isn't optimized for gaming or 3D due to its less than ideal refresh rate.

How the Gigabyte Aero 5 and the Gigabyte Aorus 17H compare to other laptops
"It is unfortunate that the Gigabyte AERO notebook series have seem to lost its charm, as it’s not exactly any much different from the AORUS series now. Regardless, content creators and designers will certainly still appreciate the features on the AERO 5 XE4, which are fundamental to their work. This largely revolved around the notebook’s display, which is colour calibrated and validated, high resolution (4K) and with great AMOLED colour representation. Now that the AERO 5 XE4 has improved its performance with the latest CPU and GPU, the professionals can also appreciate the improved productivity from the notebook."
"Overall though, it’s *lots of swearing* fast, seriously. For work, rendering, gaming, it doesn’t matter, this is a true weapon of performance that’s going to run rings around most high-end desktop systems. If you absolutely have to game at ultra-high refresh rates on the go (but within thinking distance of a plug socket), this is the ticket. I can’t see such an extreme being that appealing to everyone, but if you take your gaming seriously, or even professionally, there’s nothing else out there that comes close that you can still fit in your backpack and travel with."
