The Dell Inspiron 16 5635 is very good for general use, while the ASUS Zenbook Duo 14 is good.
The Dell Inspiron 16 5635 outshines the ASUS Zenbook Duo 14 for general use mainly due to its more powerful processor, double the RAM, and a higher-resolution screen, which contributes to clearer visuals and multitasking efficiency. Although both are portable, the Zenbook Duo is lighter and offers slightly better battery life, but the better performance and screen quality of the Inspiron 16, along with a quieter, fanless design, generally translate to a smoother day-to-day user experience.

The ASUS Zenbook Duo 14 has a better screen than the Dell Inspiron 16 5635 for general use, and engineering and design, while the Dell Inspiron 16 5635 has a better screen for content creation, and software development.
The ASUS Zenbook Duo 14 offers superior screen quality for general and engineering tasks due to its high resolution and brightness, along with a wide color gamut that ensures accuracy crucial for design work. However, for gaming and 3D applications, it falls short because of a lower refresh rate, which can make fast-paced visuals less smooth. The Dell Inspiron, while providing decent resolution and brightness for everyday tasks and sufficient color gamut for some design work, also lacks a high refresh rate, making it less suitable for gaming and 3D content.

How the ASUS Zenbook Duo 14 and the Dell Inspiron 16 5635 compare to other laptops
"The Asus ZenBook Duo's second screen is like the Apple Touch Bar, but better. Most would agree that having two screens instead of one can really boost productivity and the ZenBook Duo is no different in this regard. It's tough going back to just one screen after becoming accustomed to spacious dual-screen setups. For a laptop form factor, however, users will have to accept some compromises. Firstly, weight is the most obvious drawback as the system is several hundred grams heavier than a regular ZenBook 14. Additionally, colors on the second screen will not be as vivid as the main display."
"Compared to the previous year’s Inspiron, Dell upgraded the screen aspect ratio on this generation, but also transitioned to a more minimalistic centered keyboard flanked by up-firing speakers. The 16-inch screen is huge plus and I really appreciate the extra real estate without sacrificing the footprint much. This year’s model is a little larger than last, though, as the former model was already very small for a 15 incher."
