The ASUS Vivobook S 14 OLED offers a lower midrange price with decent performance for general use and light gaming, thanks to its Intel Core Ultra 7 processor and Intel Arc GPU. Its OLED screen provides vibrant colors and deep blacks, making it excellent for media consumption, though the resolution is lower than the Dell. It's also more portable with a smaller screen size and lighter weight, but sacrifices some performance and battery life compared to the Dell. On the other hand, the Dell XPS 13 Plus commands an upper midrange price, delivering superior performance for more demanding tasks with its high-end Intel i7 processor and ample 32GB of RAM. The XPS 13 Plus boasts a stunning 4K OLED touchscreen with a higher resolution and better color accuracy, which is ideal for professionals who need a high-quality display. It also has a more robust build quality and longer battery life, but it's less portable due to its slightly larger size and heavier weight. If you prioritize portability and cost-effectiveness for everyday tasks, the ASUS Vivobook S 14 OLED is a solid choice. However, if you're looking for a premium machine with a superior display, better performance for demanding applications, and longer battery life, the Dell XPS 13 Plus is the way to go, despite its higher price and slightly reduced portability. NotebookCheck

Andreas Osthoff | July 2022
"The XPS 13 Plus is powerful, but has its drawbacks. Dell did not only update the processor generation, but also decided to offer two completely different models from now on. The XPS 13 Plus gets the faster Intel Alder Lake-P chips, and the Core i7-1260P in our review unit offers good performance figures. However, the device once again shows the problems of the current Intel CPUs, because the high performance requires a lot of power. This affects the battery runtime as well as temperatures, so the new model (even with the Optimized power profile) is louder than the older model."
