The ASUS Vivobook S 14 OLED offers a vibrant OLED display with deep blacks and rich colors, making it ideal for media consumption and general use. It's also more affordable and has a more traditional form factor, which enhances its portability. However, its performance is more suited for everyday tasks rather than demanding applications like gaming or engineering software.
On the other hand, the ASUS Zenbook Duo (2024) features a unique dual-screen design with a high-resolution touchscreen, which can significantly boost productivity for multitasking and creative work. It comes with more RAM and a secondary display, which is beneficial for professionals who need the extra screen real estate. The Zenbook Duo also has a faster refresh rate screen, which can make for a smoother visual experience, and better color accuracy, appealing to content creators.
If you prioritize portability, a stunning display for general use, and a lower price point, the Vivobook S 14 OLED is the way to go. However, if you're looking for a laptop that can handle more intensive tasks, offers a unique dual-screen setup for increased productivity, and you're willing to carry a slightly heavier device, the Zenbook Duo (2024) would be the better choice. How the ASUS Vivobook S 14 OLED and the ASUS Zenbook Duo (2024) compare to other laptops
"The Asus ZenBook Duo's second screen is like the Apple Touch Bar, but better. Most would agree that having two screens instead of one can really boost productivity and the ZenBook Duo is no different in this regard. It's tough going back to just one screen after becoming accustomed to spacious dual-screen setups. For a laptop form factor, however, users will have to accept some compromises. Firstly, weight is the most obvious drawback as the system is several hundred grams heavier than a regular ZenBook 14. Additionally, colors on the second screen will not be as vivid as the main display."
