If you prioritize gaming or other graphics-intensive tasks, the Lenovo Legion 5 15" with its Nvidia RTX 4060 is a better choice due to superior graphics performance. However, you'll sacrifice portability as it's heavier and has a shorter battery life compared to the ASUS Vivobook S 15, which is lighter and more suited for general use or productivity tasks on-the-go. The Vivobook's AMD Ryzen 7 5800H is plenty capable for everyday tasks but won't match the Legion's performance in demanding applications. Both laptops offer similar RAM and are equipped with quality IPS displays, though the Legion has a higher resolution and refresh rate, advantageous for gaming and sharp visuals. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Mario Petzold | February 2023
"Internals make Asus VivoBook S15 laptop a compelling option. The Asus multimedia laptop may look rather below-average with its modest black chassis, lack of a dedicated GPU, limited RAM and meagre port selection without Thunderbolt support. But your impression of the device will start changing once you set your eyes on its high-contrast OLED capable of producing deep blacks and highly accurate colours. And your opinion will change completely when the VivoBook is switched on. The AMD CPU can effortlessly keep up with powerful rivals from Intel. The integrated Radeon graphics blows away Intel's iGPU when it comes to graphics workloads such as rendering and simpler games."

NotebookCheck

Andreas Osthoff | September 2021
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
