The ASUS Vivobook S 15 offers a higher performance than the HP Pavilion 15, with better processing power suited for intensive tasks such as engineering or creative work, along with a more vivid display, which could be important for tasks involving visual detail. However, it is less affordable compared to the HP Pavilion 15, which could still adequately handle general use and light productivity at a lower cost. The HP Pavilion 15 is also lighter, enhancing its portability, but is equipped with a lower quality display and less powerful processor, making it less suitable for demanding software and multitasking. The Pavilion's stronger battery life might be a deciding factor if you often work on the go without access to power outlets. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Mario Petzold | February 2023
"Internals make Asus VivoBook S15 laptop a compelling option. The Asus multimedia laptop may look rather below-average with its modest black chassis, lack of a dedicated GPU, limited RAM and meagre port selection without Thunderbolt support. But your impression of the device will start changing once you set your eyes on its high-contrast OLED capable of producing deep blacks and highly accurate colours. And your opinion will change completely when the VivoBook is switched on. The AMD CPU can effortlessly keep up with powerful rivals from Intel. The integrated Radeon graphics blows away Intel's iGPU when it comes to graphics workloads such as rendering and simpler games."

TechRadar

Alex Cox | August 2022
"The HP Pavilion 15 carries a fair amount of power and a sharp display in its handsome slimline shell. It's not perfect, but it's a hard worker. This is wonderfully designed and totes a heck of a lot of desktop power, with the added benefit of a decent webcam and a full-sized keyboard. If you're getting down to business on a budget, it's a great fit."
