When deciding between the ASUS Vivobook S 15 and the Gigabyte Aorus 17H, consider your primary needs. If you're looking for a more affordable option that's lighter and offers better battery life, making it easier to carry around, the ASUS Vivobook might be a good fit for you. It's well-suited for general use and has a respectable performance for everyday tasks. On the other hand, if your focus is on higher performance for 3D rendering, machine learning, or gaming, and you're willing to invest more money and tolerate a heavier and bulkier laptop with shorter battery life, the Gigabyte Aorus 17H will serve you better in those demanding tasks. Despite the trade-off in portability and cost, the increased performance capabilities and higher-quality display may justify the Gigabyte Aorus for intensive uses. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H is very good for gaming and AI, while the ASUS Vivobook S 15 is only fair.
The ASUS Vivobook S 15 has a less powerful integrated GPU and a screen that refreshes at a standard rate, which are suitable for casual gaming and basic 3D work but may struggle with more demanding tasks. In contrast, the Gigabyte Aorus 17H is equipped with a high-end dedicated GPU and a screen with a much higher refresh rate, making it ideal for intensive gaming and complex 3D applications, delivering smoother visuals and better performance.

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook S 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and software development.
For general use, the ASUS Vivobook’s display may lack the brightness and sharpness found in the Gigabyte Aorus, impacting clarity and visibility. In engineering and design tasks, while the ASUS screen reproduces colors reasonably, the Gigabyte offers a broader color spectrum, vital for precise color work. However, both laptops fall short for 3D and gaming because of their limited refresh rates, which can lead to less smooth visuals in fast-paced scenarios despite the Aorus having a slight edge with better resolution and panel quality.

How the ASUS Vivobook S 15 and the Gigabyte Aorus 17H compare to other laptops
"Internals make Asus VivoBook S15 laptop a compelling option. The Asus multimedia laptop may look rather below-average with its modest black chassis, lack of a dedicated GPU, limited RAM and meagre port selection without Thunderbolt support. But your impression of the device will start changing once you set your eyes on its high-contrast OLED capable of producing deep blacks and highly accurate colours. And your opinion will change completely when the VivoBook is switched on. The AMD CPU can effortlessly keep up with powerful rivals from Intel. The integrated Radeon graphics blows away Intel's iGPU when it comes to graphics workloads such as rendering and simpler games."
"Overall though, it’s *lots of swearing* fast, seriously. For work, rendering, gaming, it doesn’t matter, this is a true weapon of performance that’s going to run rings around most high-end desktop systems. If you absolutely have to game at ultra-high refresh rates on the go (but within thinking distance of a plug socket), this is the ticket. I can’t see such an extreme being that appealing to everyone, but if you take your gaming seriously, or even professionally, there’s nothing else out there that comes close that you can still fit in your backpack and travel with."
