If you value a higher-resolution screen, better color accuracy, and superior performance for intensive tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering software, the Gigabyte Aorus 15X is an excellent option but it's heavier and typically costs more. Conversely, the ASUS Vivobook S 15 offers lower performance in those areas but is lighter and generally less expensive, which might be preferable if you prioritize portability and budget. Neither is optimal for heavy gaming due to their limited graphics capabilities, but the Gigabyte’s dedicated RTX GPU does give it an edge in graphics processing compared to the integrated GPU in the ASUS. The Gigabyte Aorus 15X has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook S 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The ASUS Vivobook S 15's screen may have a decent resolution and brightness for everyday tasks, but it falls short for high-fidelity design work or entertainment due to limited color range and lower refresh rates. The Gigabyte Aorus 15X offers a vibrant and more color-accurate display with better resolution and brightness, making it suitable for detailed engineering and design projects, although it also lacks a high refresh rate, which is crucial for smooth visuals in 3D environments and gaming. Despite their strengths, both laptops may not satisfy serious gamers or professionals in 3D rendering and animation, who typically require screens with faster refresh rates to provide fluid motion and minimize visual lag.

How the ASUS Vivobook S 15 and the Gigabyte Aorus 15X compare to other laptops
"Internals make Asus VivoBook S15 laptop a compelling option. The Asus multimedia laptop may look rather below-average with its modest black chassis, lack of a dedicated GPU, limited RAM and meagre port selection without Thunderbolt support. But your impression of the device will start changing once you set your eyes on its high-contrast OLED capable of producing deep blacks and highly accurate colours. And your opinion will change completely when the VivoBook is switched on. The AMD CPU can effortlessly keep up with powerful rivals from Intel. The integrated Radeon graphics blows away Intel's iGPU when it comes to graphics workloads such as rendering and simpler games."
"The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is a strong showing of Raptor Lake and RTX 4000 series. While the Aorus had trouble keeping up in older games like Grand Theft Auto V, it nudged past the competition in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It also flexed its next-generation muscle in Far Cry 6 and Borderlands 3. While we were impressed with the overall build quality and design of the Aorus 15X, the keyboard lacked good tactile feedback. The display performed well in real-world testing despite its on-paper shortcoming with brightness, but the speakers are lackluster at best."
