The ASUS Vivobook S 15 is typically less expensive, making it a more budget-friendly option if cost is a primary concern. On the other hand, the Gigabyte Aero 5 tends to be more expensive but may offer enhancements in performance and features that justify the higher price. Weighing factors such as the type of tasks you'll be running (general use, 3D/machine learning/gaming, engineering) and your need for portability versus performance will be vital in your decision. If you prefer a laptop for casual use with good portability and value for money, the ASUS might suit you well. Conversely, if you need better performance for more intensive tasks like gaming or 3D rendering and are willing to invest more, consider the Gigabyte Aero 5. Keep in mind that battery life could also differ significantly between the two, with higher performance laptops often having shorter battery life. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Mario Petzold | February 2023
"Internals make Asus VivoBook S15 laptop a compelling option. The Asus multimedia laptop may look rather below-average with its modest black chassis, lack of a dedicated GPU, limited RAM and meagre port selection without Thunderbolt support. But your impression of the device will start changing once you set your eyes on its high-contrast OLED capable of producing deep blacks and highly accurate colours. And your opinion will change completely when the VivoBook is switched on. The AMD CPU can effortlessly keep up with powerful rivals from Intel. The integrated Radeon graphics blows away Intel's iGPU when it comes to graphics workloads such as rendering and simpler games."

The Tech Revolutionist

Zhi Cheng | May 2022
"It is unfortunate that the Gigabyte AERO notebook series have seem to lost its charm, as it’s not exactly any much different from the AORUS series now. Regardless, content creators and designers will certainly still appreciate the features on the AERO 5 XE4, which are fundamental to their work. This largely revolved around the notebook’s display, which is colour calibrated and validated, high resolution (4K) and with great AMOLED colour representation. Now that the AERO 5 XE4 has improved its performance with the latest CPU and GPU, the professionals can also appreciate the improved productivity from the notebook."
