When choosing between the ASUS Vivobook S 15 and the Dell Alienware m16 R2, consider how you'll use the laptop. The ASUS is more affordable and sufficient for everyday tasks like web browsing, document editing, and light media consumption. However, if you need a laptop for gaming, 3D modeling, machine learning, or other resource-intensive applications, the Dell Alienware offers higher performance at a higher price. The Alienware's superior graphics and processing capabilities come with a tradeoff in weight and battery life, making it less portable than the ASUS. Decide based on your primary needs: cost and portability or high-end performance for specialized tasks. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Mario Petzold | February 2023
"Internals make Asus VivoBook S15 laptop a compelling option. The Asus multimedia laptop may look rather below-average with its modest black chassis, lack of a dedicated GPU, limited RAM and meagre port selection without Thunderbolt support. But your impression of the device will start changing once you set your eyes on its high-contrast OLED capable of producing deep blacks and highly accurate colours. And your opinion will change completely when the VivoBook is switched on. The AMD CPU can effortlessly keep up with powerful rivals from Intel. The integrated Radeon graphics blows away Intel's iGPU when it comes to graphics workloads such as rendering and simpler games."

LaptopMag

Momo Tabari | January 2024
"Alienware’s m16 R2 is a solid gaming laptop that leaves much to be desired, particularly in its quest to fulfill your needs as a product for productivity. Battery life under eight hours and a dim display are both vital issues for something that will accompany you through school projects or a workday. However, the Alienware m16 R2 is an exceedingly powerful gaming laptop, consistently being one of the best in our performance tests when compared against similar products. Even then, its display is lacking color, its fans get pretty darn loud, and its speakers aren’t punchy enough to rise above that noise."
