Choosing between the ASUS Vivobook 16X and the HP 250 G10 involves considering your budget and performance needs. The ASUS is typically more expensive but offers a more powerful Intel i7 processor, advanced Nvidia graphics, and a larger, higher-resolution display which is great for intensive tasks like 3D work, gaming, or engineering. It's heavier, which affects portability, but it has a robust build and a higher-quality display. The HP, being much more affordable, has basic specs suitable for everyday use like browsing and office applications with a lighter build for easier travel, but it might struggle with demanding software due to its modest Intel processor and integrated graphics. "I think the ASUS Vivobook 16X is fantastic. Great performance, decent battery life, good keyboard and trackpad, and a massive screen – just that the screen quality itself is kinda subpar. If you’re okay with the screen, then I think this is an okay laptop. However, I’d like to see a price drop."
"The HP 250 G10 is a decent budget device that surprises us with its high CPU frequencies under load. Still, our configuration has a Core i5-1335U which doesn’t require significant cooling, if choose a 28W P-series processor, maybe the situation with the clocks could be different. If you want to play some casual game after work, a memory in dual-channel is a must because it increases greatly the iGPU performance."
