If you prefer a laptop with higher resolution and better screen quality for professional creative work, the Gigabyte Aero 5 is a solid option, as it also offers more storage out of the box. However, it's heavier and slightly less portable than the ASUS Vivobook 16X, which, while having a lower resolution screen, may be more cost-effective and offer a balance for general use and some gaming or engineering tasks. The Gigabyte Aero 5 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 16X for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The ASUS Vivobook 16X, with its solid resolution and brightness, offers a clear and vibrant display for typical tasks and detailed work in engineering, but its standard refresh rate limits the smoothness desired in gaming and 3D applications. The Gigabyte Aero 5, with its high-resolution and bright screen, excels in providing sharp visuals for everyday use and wide color gamuts necessary for color-accurate engineering and design work, yet also falls short for gaming due to a lower refresh rate. For gaming and 3D modeling where the action is fast-paced, both laptops might not provide the fluid motion clarity that high refresh rate displays deliver.

The Gigabyte Aero 5 and ASUS Vivobook 16X are both good for general use.
The ASUS Vivobook 16X is equipped with a capable CPU and ample RAM for smooth multitasking, while its 16-inch screen and high refresh rate offer a satisfying visual experience, although its battery life is average and it's moderately portable. The Gigabyte Aero 5 also offers a powerful CPU and plenty of RAM along with a superior OLED screen with higher resolution for crisp image quality, but it trades off with less portability and slightly better battery life. Both laptops provide the essential storage, keyboard, and speaker qualities needed for general usage, with the Aero 5 coming ahead with its screen and larger storage capacity at the cost of being bulkier and the Vivobook 16X being slightly more portable.

How the ASUS Vivobook 16X and the Gigabyte Aero 5 compare to other laptops
"I think the ASUS Vivobook 16X is fantastic. Great performance, decent battery life, good keyboard and trackpad, and a massive screen – just that the screen quality itself is kinda subpar. If you’re okay with the screen, then I think this is an okay laptop. However, I’d like to see a price drop."
"It is unfortunate that the Gigabyte AERO notebook series have seem to lost its charm, as it’s not exactly any much different from the AORUS series now. Regardless, content creators and designers will certainly still appreciate the features on the AERO 5 XE4, which are fundamental to their work. This largely revolved around the notebook’s display, which is colour calibrated and validated, high resolution (4K) and with great AMOLED colour representation. Now that the AERO 5 XE4 has improved its performance with the latest CPU and GPU, the professionals can also appreciate the improved productivity from the notebook."
