The ASUS Vivobook 16X is less expensive, has a higher refresh rate display for smoother visuals, which could be beneficial for fast-paced tasks, and it is slightly lighter, making it more portable. Its battery life is shorter than the Gigabyte Aero 16's, and its graphical capabilities are stronger with an RTX 4060 GPU, handling intensive tasks like 3D modeling and machine learning well. The Gigabyte Aero 16, on the other hand, offers more storage, a more vibrant and high-resolution OLED screen which excels in color accuracy and contrast, making it better suited for creatives who require precise color representation for tasks like photo and video editing. It is also heavier with a longer battery life, and it includes more USB-C ports, but it has a less powerful RTX 3070 Ti GPU compared to the Vivobook 16X. Choose the ASUS Vivobook 16X for better performance in engineering and general use within a lighter form factor and a lower price, or the Gigabyte Aero 16 for superior display quality, storage capacity, and battery life at a higher cost and with slightly less portability. The Gigabyte Aero 16 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 16X for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The ASUS Vivobook 16X offers a solid display that is sharp and bright, making it suitable for everyday tasks and professional work in fields like engineering and design, where precision in colors and details matter. However, its average refresh rate doesn't quite meet the standards required for smooth rendering in 3D applications or the fast-paced visuals common in gaming. On the other hand, the Gigabyte Aero 16 steps up with excellent color accuracy and a wide color gamut, ensuring that detailed design work looks vibrant and true to life, but like the ASUS, it falls short for gaming and 3D due to a similarly lackluster refresh rate.

How the ASUS Vivobook 16X and the Gigabyte Aero 16 compare to other laptops
"I think the ASUS Vivobook 16X is fantastic. Great performance, decent battery life, good keyboard and trackpad, and a massive screen – just that the screen quality itself is kinda subpar. If you’re okay with the screen, then I think this is an okay laptop. However, I’d like to see a price drop."
"The Gigabyte Aero 16 is a workstation laptop for light gaming. It's design is still muted, with a silver chassis alongside a black keyboard and trackpad that provides some contrast. The Gigabyte Aero’s full-size chiclet-style keyboard is enjoyable to type on thanks to its snappy feel and responsiveness. The 4K+ AMOLED display is good, but it could be better. It doesn’t handle true black very well and suffers from strong reflections and glare. The Gigabyte Aero excels at productivity performance and can keep up with other gaming laptops in 1080p. But it has very few ports and its refresh rate leaves a bit to be desired."
