If you're looking for a laptop with high performance for 3D rendering, machine learning, and gaming, the MSI Vector GP76 is a better choice, but it's heavier and has a shorter battery life which makes it less suitable for frequent travel. On the other hand, the ASUS Vivobook 16 is more affordable, lighter, and offers longer battery life, making it more portable and suitable for general use. However, it has a lower performance compared to the MSI, making it less ideal for very demanding tasks. Both have ample storage and the MSI has double the RAM, enhancing its performance further for intensive tasks. The MSI is also equipped with a more powerful graphics card, making it better suited for gaming and heavy graphics work. Give Feedback

The MSI Vector GP76 is very good for engineering and design, while the ASUS Vivobook 16 is good.
The MSI Vector GP76 excels for engineering and design due to its more powerful Intel i7 processor, double the RAM, and a high-performing Nvidia RTX GPU, making it better suited for demanding tasks, despite its lower portability and louder operating noise. The ASUS Vivobook 16, while still suitable for engineering and design with its capable AMD Ryzen 7 processor and integrated Vega 8 graphics, provides a more balanced approach with better portability and less operating noise, but it doesn't match the raw performance of the MSI laptop.

The MSI Vector GP76 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 16 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The ASUS Vivobook 16 has a screen that offers adequate resolution and brightness for daily tasks such as web browsing and document editing, but it lacks the wide color gamuts necessary for precision in color-critical work like engineering and design. For the MSI Vector GP76, the screen stands out with improved brightness and color accuracy, benefiting professionals who need to work with detailed visual projects; however, its lower refresh rate isn't ideal for smooth renderings in 3D environments or fast-paced gaming. Both laptops have compromises in displays, with the ASUS appearing more cost-effective for basic use, and the MSI better suited for creative professionals, although gamers and 3D designers may seek alternatives with higher refresh rates.

How the ASUS Vivobook 16 and the MSI Vector GP76 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, Yannick Khong | May 2023
"The ASUS Vivobook 16 M1605 (2023) is a budget Windows laptop. It's available with various AMD Ryzen 5000 and 7000 U-series CPUs and integrated graphics. You can only get 8GB of RAM; however, there's an empty SO-DIMM slot if you want to upgrade it. It has an FHD+ (1920 x 1200) 16:10 IPS display, a full-size keyboard with a Numpad, a 720p webcam, and Wi-Fi 6E wireless connectivity. Ports include three USB-As, one USB-C, an HDMI, and a headphone jack. The USB-C supports charging but no video output."
"The MSI Vector GP76 12UGS is a gaming laptop on speed. The advantages are clear: The Vector GP76 is a real gamer with its 360 Hz display and super-fast response times. In addition, the Core i7-12700H has double the power of the CPU in its predecessor and another highlight is the Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti with a real power consumption of 150 watts. This places the device in the top range of our database. The Vector can also operate rather quietly, offers a full sound range, improved battery runtimes, a key-configurable RGB keyboard, a very stable chassis and good upgrade options. Moreover, the display produces a nice, rich and clear picture."
