The ASUS Vivobook 16 is less expensive and has a longer battery life, making it suitable for general use and tasks that do not require a powerful GPU. It is also slightly more portable due to its lighter weight. On the other hand, the MSI Raider GE66, while more expensive, offers significantly better performance for 3D rendering, machine learning, and intensive gaming due to its superior CPU and GPU. It also has better build quality and heat management but has a shorter battery life and is heavier, which impacts portability. Choose the Vivobook if seeking value and everyday use, or the Raider for high performance in tasks like gaming or engineering work. Give Feedback

The MSI Raider GE66 is very good for engineering and design, while the ASUS Vivobook 16 is good.
The MSI Raider GE66 excels in engineering and design use due to its superior CPU, double the RAM, and high-end GPU, paired with a high-resolution screen with exceptional color coverage, which is critical for detail-oriented work. In contrast, while the ASUS Vivobook 16 has a capable CPU and sufficient RAM for many tasks, its integrated GPU and lower screen resolution and color coverage make it less suited for highly demanding engineering and design applications, despite its better portability.

The MSI Raider GE66 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 16 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the ASUS Vivobook 16 offers sufficient resolution and brightness to make most content look clear and readable, while the MSI Raider GE66 goes a step further with a higher-quality panel that provides sharper images and potentially better viewing angles. In engineering and design tasks where precise color representation is crucial, the MSI Raider GE66 might stand out due to its wider color gamut coverage, ensuring accuracy in color-intensive applications. However, with regards to 3D tasks, neither the ASUS Vivobook 16 nor the MSI Raider GE66 is optimal, as their screen refresh rates are lower than what's ideal for smooth motion rendering, which is critical for gaming or real-time 3D modeling.

"The ASUS Vivobook 16 M1605 (2023) is a budget Windows laptop. It's available with various AMD Ryzen 5000 and 7000 U-series CPUs and integrated graphics. You can only get 8GB of RAM; however, there's an empty SO-DIMM slot if you want to upgrade it. It has an FHD+ (1920 x 1200) 16:10 IPS display, a full-size keyboard with a Numpad, a 720p webcam, and Wi-Fi 6E wireless connectivity. Ports include three USB-As, one USB-C, an HDMI, and a headphone jack. The USB-C supports charging but no video output."
"The MSI Raider GE66 12UHS notebook passes with flying colors. The GE66 is a high-end notebook with strong performance. The keyboard and trackpad are still very good and score well with precise inputs as well as high build quality. Thanks to a new liquid metal cooling solution, the Intel Core i9 12900HK brings a performance increase of around 50 percent over the predecessor's Intel Core i9 10980HK. The installed graphics card in our device delivers up to 30 percent higher frame rates than the RTX 2070 Super in the MSI GE66 10SFS."
