The MSI Prestige 14 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 16 for general use, and engineering and design.
When considering screen quality for general use, the MSI Prestige 14 offers sharper text and images and better brightness, making it easier to view in various lighting conditions compared to the ASUS Vivobook 16. Engineering and design work benefits from the Prestige 14 as well, as it displays a wider range of colors more accurately, essential for detailed graphic work. However, for 3D and gaming, both laptops aren't ideal since they lack high refresh rates necessary for smooth motion, although both provide enough resolution and adequate panel technology for less demanding visual tasks.

How the ASUS Vivobook 16 and the MSI Prestige 14 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, Yannick Khong | May 2023
"The ASUS Vivobook 16 M1605 (2023) is a budget Windows laptop. It's available with various AMD Ryzen 5000 and 7000 U-series CPUs and integrated graphics. You can only get 8GB of RAM; however, there's an empty SO-DIMM slot if you want to upgrade it. It has an FHD+ (1920 x 1200) 16:10 IPS display, a full-size keyboard with a Numpad, a 720p webcam, and Wi-Fi 6E wireless connectivity. Ports include three USB-As, one USB-C, an HDMI, and a headphone jack. The USB-C supports charging but no video output."
"The MSI Prestige 14” is excellent for productivity and business use cases, but it is not ideal for creators or visual content editors. The Prestige was able to power through days of email, spreadsheets, and text documents without breaking a sweat and was a joy to use. The additional ports were a breath of fresh air, as most laptops seem to be moving towards just Thunderbolt ports. The security options made signing in effortless, with two quick, more secure, and faster options than even the most complex alphanumeric passcode."
