The ASUS Vivobook 16, while more expensive, offers higher performance with a better processor, making it suitable for intensive tasks like engineering or gaming, and it has a higher-quality IPS display with a taller aspect ratio that is great for productivity and content viewing. However, for portability the Lenovo V15 is lighter, making it easier to carry around. The Lenovo V15 is a budget-friendly choice, with slightly lower performance suited for general use and potentially longer battery life based on its lower performance hardware, but it comes with a TN panel, which is generally less vibrant and has narrower viewing angles than the IPS display on the ASUS Vivobook 16. If cost is a major factor and your needs are basic, the Lenovo V15 could be sufficient, but for better performance and display quality, the ASUS Vivobook 16 is the more capable option. Give Feedback

The ASUS Vivobook 16 has a better screen than the Lenovo V15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
For general use, the ASUS Vivobook 16, while not exceptional, gives a clearer and brighter display than the Lenovo V15, thanks to a better resolution and panel type, which affects how sharp and vivid the screen appears. In engineering and design, the Vivobook's display covers a wider range of colors, making images more accurate, which is essential for professional color work, whereas the Lenovo's display falls short here. When it comes to gaming and 3D applications, the Vivobook's subpar refresh rate results in less fluid motion, but it still manages to outdo the Lenovo, which also suffers from a lower refresh rate, plus inferior resolution and panel type, affecting both clarity and game immersion.

The ASUS Vivobook 16, with a more powerful CPU and higher screen quality, offers stronger performance and better visuals for general use than the Lenovo V15, which though slightly more portable and with marginally better portability due to its lower weight, has a less robust CPU and a lower quality display panel. Both laptops have ample storage and memory for typical tasks, but the ASUS's IPS screen outperforms the Lenovo's TN panel in color reproduction and viewing angles, which alongside its slightly bigger screen, provides a more comfortable viewing experience at the expense of being a bit heavier and bulkier.

How the ASUS Vivobook 16 and the Lenovo V15 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, Yannick Khong | May 2023
"The ASUS Vivobook 16 M1605 (2023) is a budget Windows laptop. It's available with various AMD Ryzen 5000 and 7000 U-series CPUs and integrated graphics. You can only get 8GB of RAM; however, there's an empty SO-DIMM slot if you want to upgrade it. It has an FHD+ (1920 x 1200) 16:10 IPS display, a full-size keyboard with a Numpad, a 720p webcam, and Wi-Fi 6E wireless connectivity. Ports include three USB-As, one USB-C, an HDMI, and a headphone jack. The USB-C supports charging but no video output."
"The strengths of the Lenovo V15 G2 AMD lie in its expandability of the RAM and allowing you to use two SSDs, in its performance that goes beyond everyday applications thanks to AMD's hexa-core CPU and Vega-7 iGPU, in its good keyboard, and its relatively robust case. In addition, the battery life of the office laptop is also acceptable, and the device stays cool and relatively quiet."
