The ASUS Vivobook 16 is significantly less expensive than the Lenovo ThinkPad P16, making it a more budget-friendly option. It has ample storage and a good quality screen but falls behind the ThinkPad P16 in color accuracy and sharpness due to its lower resolution. The Vivobook is lighter, potentially making it more portable, but it has a shorter battery life compared to the ThinkPad. For demanding tasks like 3D rendering and engineering software, the ThinkPad P16, with its more powerful processor and dedicated graphics card, is better suited. It also offers superior build quality and a better keyboard, but you'll have to deal with a heavier machine. Both laptops are not ideal for intensive gaming despite having the hardware to support less demanding titles. Give Feedback

The Lenovo ThinkPad P16 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 16 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
If you prioritize a vibrant and accurate display for tasks like web browsing, document editing, and watching videos, the Lenovo ThinkPad P16 with its very good screen will provide a more satisfying experience due to higher resolution and brightness. For engineering and design work that demands color precision, the ThinkPad's coverage of color gamuts like DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB ensures that colors are represented faithfully, which is crucial for professional work. However, for gaming and 3D applications that require fast motion handling, despite both laptops having poor refresh rates, keep in mind that factors like resolution and panel type, where they have moderate importance, may slightly affect the overall visual experience.

How the ASUS Vivobook 16 and the Lenovo ThinkPad P16 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, Yannick Khong | May 2023
"The ASUS Vivobook 16 M1605 (2023) is a budget Windows laptop. It's available with various AMD Ryzen 5000 and 7000 U-series CPUs and integrated graphics. You can only get 8GB of RAM; however, there's an empty SO-DIMM slot if you want to upgrade it. It has an FHD+ (1920 x 1200) 16:10 IPS display, a full-size keyboard with a Numpad, a 720p webcam, and Wi-Fi 6E wireless connectivity. Ports include three USB-As, one USB-C, an HDMI, and a headphone jack. The USB-C supports charging but no video output."
"It's only a few months since we gave the MSI CreatorPro X17 one of our rare 4.5-star ratings and our top mobile workstation honor, but the Lenovo ThinkPad P16 Gen 1 matches that achievement in a more premium overall build. Ultimately, its build quality, screen, and keyboard give our latest Editors' Choice nod to the Lenovo—it's enough of a monster on almost all fronts that it simply cannot be ignored."
