The ASUS Vivobook 16 is often significantly less expensive than the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16", making it a budget-friendlier choice. If battery life is important for you, the Lenovo has a larger battery capacity which may last longer. For high performance in tasks such as gaming, 3D modeling, and engineering, the Lenovo is a better fit due to its Nvidia RTX graphics, while the ASUS is suitable for general use. The Lenovo also offers a higher-resolution display which could be beneficial for creative work, but the higher capabilities of the Lenovo come with a higher price. Both have 16-inch displays and similar portability, but the ASUS is slightly lighter. If you value keyboard and speaker quality, the Lenovo scores higher in those areas too. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 16 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the Lenovo Legion Slim 7's superior resolution and brightness offer clearer and more vibrant visuals, making it a better choice over the ASUS Vivobook 16. When it comes to engineering and design, the Lenovo's wider color gamuts ensure more accurate color representation necessary for those tasks. However, both laptops have lower refresh rates, which is not ideal for 3D gaming where smooth motion is crucial; for those purposes, neither of these would be the optimal choice.

Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, Yannick Khong | May 2023
"The ASUS Vivobook 16 M1605 (2023) is a budget Windows laptop. It's available with various AMD Ryzen 5000 and 7000 U-series CPUs and integrated graphics. You can only get 8GB of RAM; however, there's an empty SO-DIMM slot if you want to upgrade it. It has an FHD+ (1920 x 1200) 16:10 IPS display, a full-size keyboard with a Numpad, a 720p webcam, and Wi-Fi 6E wireless connectivity. Ports include three USB-As, one USB-C, an HDMI, and a headphone jack. The USB-C supports charging but no video output."
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
