The ASUS Vivobook 16 generally costs less and offers decent performance for general use with a battery life suitable for being on the go, making it a practical choice for everyday tasks and work that isn't graphically intensive. However, if you need more power for tasks like engineering, 3D rendering, or gaming, the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro, while more expensive and heavier, delivers significantly better performance in these areas due to its higher-end graphics capabilities, although at the expense of battery life. Both laptops have similar screen sizes, but the Legion 5 Pro provides a sharper image and higher refresh rates, beneficial for fast-moving visuals and detailed work. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Legion Pro 5 is very good for gaming and AI, while the ASUS Vivobook 16 is only fair.
The ASUS Vivobook 16, with its integrated GPU and 60Hz screen refresh rate, offers a fair gaming and 3D experience, which may suffice for casual gaming but fall short for demanding games and 3D applications. In contrast, the Lenovo Legion Pro 5 is armed with a powerful Nvidia RTX 4070 GPU and a higher 165Hz screen refresh rate, making it very good for gaming and 3D rendering, but it may also be less portable and have shorter battery life due to its performance-oriented hardware.

The Lenovo Legion Pro 5 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 16 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The ASUS Vivobook 16 offers adequate resolution and brightness for tasks like web browsing and video streaming, meeting the basic needs for general use and making it a suitable budget-friendly choice. However, for engineering and design professionals who often require precise color accuracy, it doesn't provide the wide color gamuts needed for high fidelity visuals. For gamers and 3D artists, the Vivobook's lower refresh rate leads to less smooth visuals, which can be a major drawback for fast-paced games or fluid 3D rendering.

How the ASUS Vivobook 16 and the Lenovo Legion Pro 5 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, Yannick Khong | May 2023
"The ASUS Vivobook 16 M1605 (2023) is a budget Windows laptop. It's available with various AMD Ryzen 5000 and 7000 U-series CPUs and integrated graphics. You can only get 8GB of RAM; however, there's an empty SO-DIMM slot if you want to upgrade it. It has an FHD+ (1920 x 1200) 16:10 IPS display, a full-size keyboard with a Numpad, a 720p webcam, and Wi-Fi 6E wireless connectivity. Ports include three USB-As, one USB-C, an HDMI, and a headphone jack. The USB-C supports charging but no video output."
"It doesn't quite match its Legion Pro 7i sibling as an Editors' Choice winner, but Lenovo's AMD-powered Legion Pro 5 Gen 8 is a stylish, well-built gaming laptop with solid performance at both 1080p and its sharper native resolution. It's cheaper than some comparably equipped machines and better than some similarly priced ones. That's a recipe for success, even without its frequent availability of discounts or sales. A brighter screen and longer battery life would be nice, but even as is the Legion Pro 5 earns a solid recommendation."
